My brother plays PSP all the time while I drive him places.
My own boyfriend and I will ignore each other while we do homework or surf the net.

It’s impossible to always give each other 100% of your attention, especially if you spend a lot of time together. It could by that your boyfriend is now comfortable doing his own thing around you. He probably is listening, but his response time is increased by his distraction. If it bothers you, let him know.
