General Question

I'm planning a sleepover with my 3 best friends and need some games and things to do. Any ideas?

Asked by ChocolateReigns (5624points) January 30th, 2010

I really don’t want to make this a thing with a schedule or big plans or anything. I just want some stuff to do. Usually when I have a get together with my friends, we end up sitting in my room, talking and being bored. I’ll take anything, from chick flick movies to rent to food to make to card games. I need everything. We’re between 12 and 14. Thanks!

Scavenger huntssss!!! Man, I have some of the best memories going on late night/early morning scavenger hunts with my friends. We made a list, then took pictures of us with whatever the thing on the list was. Those were pretty good times. It’s even more fun if you have walkie talkies so you can communicate with the other team.

Try the game Taboo. It’s awesome.

Charades is normally fun. Get everyone to write down 4 things on pieces of paper then put them into a hat.

Truth or dare is always fun.

All else fails, hop on the interwebz and watch some viral videos or look around for skills to learn as a group.

One more thing – we don’t have access to any gaming systems. All I have is the computer and the TV.

You’re girls, right?? Paint your nails :) I’m sure one of you needs a new haircut!! Experiment with that haha

And as @Shield_of_Achilles said, those viral videos are awesome, they’re pretty silly though lol.

Or talk about boys :P lol Hope that helps!

Get a few nail polishes (or ask people to bring them) and paint each others’ nails. Maybe put on goopy face masks that you can buy in the skincare aisle at pharmacies or dollar stores. I hear that Bananagrams is fun.

Bake cookies! Here’s The Original Toll House™ chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Make a plate of s’mores and a big bowl of popcorn, and watch The Princess Bride! That was our favorite thing to do when my friends and I had sleepovers we changed up the movie sometimes, but we always ended up coming back to that one…

Baking cookies is a good idea too – and definitely sneak downstairs in the middle of the night to raid the fridge for snacks to eat while you play Truth or Dare. That’s one of those games that’s always best played at 2am… Have a good time!

You could play The Game of Things

Do impressions of famous people, movie characters or people you know, and make each other guess.

Cook something Together. Bake something and decorate it however you want.

Cut stuff from magazines and make a collage.

Practice a dance you’ve seen, or make one up.

Make a mixed tape or CD.

Write a story together, each friend taking turns writing a sentence, paragraph, or chapter.

Give each other makeovers.
Act out a skit.
Dress up in costumes, using whatever you have in your closet, or house, and take pictures.

Tie a sheet up and use a lamp to reflect shadows from one side. Tell scary stories.

Ask each other questions, like would you rather questions.

What the others said about charades and scavenger hunts, it never fails to be fun. :D
