Will McCain choose Lieberman as his running mate?

Asked by segdeha (1720points) March 6th, 2008

I have this hunch that McCain is considering his good friend Joseph Lieberman as his running mate. It would be a “unity” ticket to counteract the “hope” message of Obama. Anyone else think this is likely or is he in trouble enough with conservative Republicans that he needs to go for a far-righty?

McCain can do whatever he wants, as far as Republicans are concerned, because they DO NOT want Hillary.

There were several conservatives, during the Gore/Lieberman season that said “why did Lieberman run with someone so far left?” Apparently conservatives are more tolerant toward Lieberman than we know.

Unlikely, Lieberman has said several times that he doesn’t want to run as VP again.
