How do i set the time manually on an old verizon lg chocolate?

Asked by ratredlgstuck (4points) March 26th, 2010

i have a verizon lg chocolate phone, cant see how to set the time manually, surely this must be doable – what if i want the time to be a bit fast on it and not set to the right time or something? its not signed up to a network or anything, its just a blank phone with no capabilities to make calls, does that make a difference? i know nothing about american phones.

@ratredlgstuck First of all welcome, now the question.

I do not think you can set the time to what you want. The cell network notifies the phone what time it is. There is no instructions in the manual for setting the time. Assumed you have an V-8500. Where was it originally used?

LG has a hidden or secret service menu that you can access with a series of keystrokes. It may or may not have the time/date settings that you are looking for.

If you have a VX8500, From the home screen, Press Menu -> 0 -> Send, then press 000000.

For the VX8550 –
1) follows:

1) Press: ##program8550 (##77647268550) SEND

2) Service code: 0 0 0 0 0 0

For the VX8600 –
1) follows:

1) Press: ##program8600 (##77647268600) SEND

2) Service code: 0 0 0 0 0 0

Take it to your local verizon retailer and have them fix it. You shouldn’t have to pay for it but they might find a way to make you
