How often do you think about Fluther outside of Fluther?

Asked by silverfly (4055points) May 8th, 2010

Since you joined Fluther, have you noticed yourself thinking of new questions when you’re not online? Do you try and think of good questions to ask when you’re going about your day? Are your Fluther questions planned or spontaneous?

I’d say pretty often though I stay away from it more these days.

Too much; to the point of getting upset about changes that really don’t affect me. As I’m so isolated socially in real life, I tend to take interactions here overly seriously.

I value my time on fluther but when I am doing other things, it hardly ever crosses my mind unless someone I care from fluther about seems to be in distress. That is healthy for me.

Andrew said something yesterday, which I took as a personal insult, and it bothered me all day.

@filmfann I know just what you mean; I’m taking this virtual community too seriously for my own good..

Not often. Only if I think of a really good question or answer to post. I hate getting good ideas right before I go to bed and the computer’s already off…

When it comes to asking questions, I rarely think of Fluther outside of Fluther being that I ask very few questions. As far as checking in on a daily basis to look for new questions to answer, I think of Fluther outside of Fluther several times a day in this regard.

Are your Fluther questions planned or spontaneous? Spontaneous. I almost always come here to answer questions, not ask them. When I’m not here, I’m not here. At all.

I get a little anxious if I can’t check in!! I’ve shared stories and suggestions from fluther with lots of friends and family.

I often think of questions during the day (and sometimes also answers/comments to threads I’m following). Then I categorize them and try to decide which of few Q&A sites I participate on the question is most appropriate for (for me, jokes and silly and nonsensical questions just to trigger a friendly exchange go on Answerbag, friendly but not necessarily silly or nonsense questions go on BlurTit, technical and not-too-controversial questions go on Fluther, edgy highly-controversial political questions guaranteed to provoke a heated argument [or just to get the neocons riled up] go on SodaHead).

I’ve only been here for a few days, so I think about it quite a bit. Mainly I want to see if the people who I have responded to have updated in anyway. The two questions I have asked so far were spontaneous. I haven’t put much thought into asking questions.

I’m on most of every day anyway, so there’s not much “outside”. I do occasionally (less than once a day) bring up a comment or such in a conversation.
