How does one add scripts to FMTouch databases on the iPhone?

Asked by Tom2001 (6points) May 13th, 2010

One has to remove all scripts before transferring a FileMaker database to an iPhone. I can’t find a mechanism for typing in scripts within the iPhone app FMTouch. How does one write them on the iPhone or better, write them in Filemaker Pro and export them to the iPhone?

This is not correct… You do not remove scripts from your FM database before you transfer to FMTouch. The problem is only certain script steps are included at this time. Same with calculations & Functions.
If you go to this link, you will find all of the information you need.

That step is actually optional, as FMTouch now supports some scripts ( for details on what is supported see http://fmtouch.com/calc ). You can leave the scripts in there when doing the DDR export and you’ll be fine. There is no way to edit or create new scripts on the iPhone itself.
