What is the point of adding sesame seeds to a bun?

They don’t make you significantly more full. They don’t add to the taste. I don’t get it.

Adds texture and a bit of taste. It’s like putting celery in tuna fish salad.

It adds a little protein to your carbs.

I would say they do add to the taste, they are a bit sweet.

i think they add to the taste. i like sesame seeds on buns and bagels. i also like knowing i’m getting a bit more roughage by having it.

For some reason my body doesn’t properly digest them. So for me they are handy for timing how long my cheeseburger took to make it through my internals. And I like the texture.
