Rachel Maddow.

I honestly can’t think of anyone.
Not that I wouldn’t vote for a woman for president, that would be ridiculous. But no one jumps out to me as someone I’d really like to see in office. I know who I do not want to see, but not the opposite.

Aethelflaed's avatar

Elizabeth Warren. I almost want to move to Massachusetts just so I can vote for her in this next election.

jrpowell's avatar

For those that don’t know who Elizabeth Warren is you should watch her on Charlie Rose and The Daily Show.

Since I don’t think a female in the Oval Office would make much of a difference, I’d want it to be as funny as possible. How about Oprah? Or Queen Latifah? Oh oh, I really liked that one actress, just think she looked cool in Stranger Than Fiction, let me look her up . . .

Edit: Her name is Emma Thompson. Looked at some other pics of her, I prefer her shorter hair, and the look of a crazed writer best.

rooeytoo's avatar

I want Hillary.

Dr.Ruth.

jca's avatar

I probably would have voted for Hilary.

tom_g's avatar

Amy Goodman comes to mind, not that she would ever run. Plus she’d probably only get 1 vote – mine.

tom_g's avatar

@Aethelflaed – re: moving to MA to vote for Warren. Please do it, and hurry up. The Scott Brown love around here is thick and mind-boggling.

JLeslie's avatar

Hillary.

I would vote for Elizabeth Warren also.

There are probably several women in politics who I am not very familiar with who I would vote for if I became more aware of them.

Pamela Anderson…... :-/

I like Diane Feinstein, Hillary Clinton, and Jody Foster.

Meryl Streep

jonsblond's avatar

I supported Hillary Clinton, and still do. I voted for her in the 2008 Democratic presidential primaries.

Neizvestnaya's avatar

Hillary Clinton, Diane Feinstein or even Oprah Winfrey.

Augustlan. I have a feeling she could be the perfect politician- lay down her ideas and intents with incredible tact and diplomacy.

woodcutter's avatar

Any one. I’m really curious if they have that “beat down” look when their term is done.

amujinx's avatar

@tom_g She would get two votes, because I would vote for her as well.

“Augustlan. I have a feeling she could be the perfect politician- lay down her ideas and intents with incredible tact and diplomacy.”

When I first saw your post, I spent about a minute looking for Auggie’s post in this thread. ;-p
Now that I realize you’re saying that you’d vote for her, I agree.

WillWorkForChocolate's avatar

@Brian1946 You bet I would. And she’s way more liberal than I am. But hey, whoever can get the job done!!!

Aethelflaed's avatar

@tom_g Yeah, what’s up with that? Is it just that he’s handsome? I don’t understand him being big in Massachusetts at all.

MRSHINYSHOES's avatar

Judith Scheindlin. Better known as “Judge Judy”.

woodcutter's avatar

Somehow I knew you would pick her.

MRSHINYSHOES's avatar

@woodcutter You don’t like her? I like her. She’s hard-hitting yet fair and reasonable, treats women and men equally (the justice system is often unfair to us men you know), and I like her pro-conservative, old-fashioned type values. She’s also pretty smart and an excellent speaker.

woodcutter's avatar

I didn’t say I didn’t like her. I just figured that from I know of you, and her, having never met either you two seem to be a good match. You are both very animated.

MRSHINYSHOES's avatar

@woodcutter lol——It sounded like that. She gets criticized a lot for her sometimes caustic and biting comments, but I think she really tells it like is, and often speaks what’s on my mind too.

Um, just curious, but would you pick a woman to be president?

woodcutter's avatar

Sure, as long as she had balls ;)

MRSHINYSHOES's avatar

@woodcutter Oh my…..balls? Impossible.

woodcutter's avatar

You know what I mean.

incendiary_dan's avatar

@MRSHINYSHOES Unless you’ve checked, you can’t be certain. :P

MRSHINYSHOES's avatar

@woodcutter Physiologically that can never happen! Lol.

@incendiary_dan Indeed, there are some women who are questionable. I don’t know if I’d wanna check! Yech.

woodcutter's avatar

Check the one’s with a big adams apple.just to be on the safe side;p

rooeytoo's avatar

She has ovaries, they are much more potent than balls and don’t sag with age.

woodcutter's avatar

You have a point there.

FutureMemory's avatar

I’d like to change my vote to Jeruba.

MRSHINYSHOES's avatar

@rooeytoo Ovaries depreciate and degenerate with every egg that’s gone. That is not potent. A man is often fertile even in his 70s. His balls still work. Her “balls” won’t! That’s a fact. :P

augustlan's avatar

I’d vote for Hillary or Elizabeth Warren.

Note: I cannot be a politician. Waaaay too many skeletons in my closet! :p

FutureMemory's avatar

@augustlan Note: I cannot be a politician. Waaaay too many skeletons in my closet! :p

Ain’t that the truth!!

MrPORCUPINE's avatar

Please point to me which ones are the females? Aside from this hot chick Ron Paul-? Thank you.

Afos22's avatar

Hillary Clinton is doing some work as secretary of state. She means business. All of the popular GOP and Tea Party women are not qualified as mayors. None of them.

rooeytoo's avatar

@MRSHINYSHOES – As usual you missed my point or pretend to. I object to “balls” being used as a measure of ability, stability, etc. There are many humans who don’t have balls who are oh so very able to perform most any task you can imagine, except produce sperm. And really if you want to get down to brass tacks, AI with the sperm of select males would really make average balls redundant, except for entertainment.

Hilary doesn’t need balls, she has intelligence, experience and every other desirable credential for the job.

Afos22's avatar

@rooeytoo I think ‘balls’ is a measure of toughness, not a measure of ability or stability.

MRSHINYSHOES's avatar

@rooeytoo You either got em’ or ya don’t! ;)

But enough said. This thread is getting too long. So long.

rooeytoo's avatar

Again you missed my point or pretend to. Whether you have them or not is irrelevant to virtually any situation except the production of sperm. They have nothing to do with the ability to be president. Do you understand now???

rooeytoo's avatar

@Afos22 – toughness and testicles do not necessarily go hand in hand. You can undoubtedly have one without the other. But I disagree with your definition, I don’t think that is what is usually meant when someone says something about brass balls!

jonsblond's avatar

Anyone think Hillary will take a chance in 2016?

dammit, I really want this woman to be our first female Pres.

rooeytoo's avatar

@jonsblond – one hopes that at some point in time, people will come to their senses and elect the HUMAN best suited for the job and not worry about whether they have balls or not. Fingers crossed.

jonsblond's avatar

@rooeytoo I agree. I thought Hillary would have been the best in 2008 :/

FutureMemory's avatar

@jonsblond I was rootin’ for her in 2008. Of course the best person should get the job, but damn, when is the US going to join the rest of of the first world and finally elect a woman to the top post, at least once??

filmfann's avatar

@jonsblond I have hopes Obama will dump Joe Biden, and get Hillary to run with him. That would open the door for Hillary in 2016.
I hate to say this, though. She looks like she has aged in the last 3 years.

Condeleza Rice

WillWorkForChocolate's avatar

Damn guys, my vote for Auggie didn’t get more than 1 GA? What’s wrong with you people, lol? She’d be amazing!

augustlan's avatar

You’re sweet, @WillWorkForChocolate. And I am blushing.

WillWorkForChocolate's avatar

I try. Occasionally. =0)

incendiary_dan's avatar

I actually like augustlan, and therefore would not wish that on her. :P

woodcutter's avatar

Condi Rice. A former secretary of state is a better choice for president than some millionaire business person or community organizer.
