Is it ok to eat two day old Taco Bell soft taco supremes that are sitting in my fridge?

Asked by talljasperman (21916points) April 19th, 2013

I just ate one and other than some wilted lettuce, and it tasted good? I don’t know I have 13 left should I eat them or throw them out?

They are safe since they were in the fridge. I’d probably scrape the lettuce off of them though.

Why do you have 13 of them?

talljasperman's avatar

@XOIIO because I ate the other seven.. I over ordered .

You can make better, cheaper, bigger and fresher yourself from scratch, but those won’t kill you. Not right away, anyway.

If you can handle the coagulated grease and fat, they’re okay to eat. If you reheat one though, don’t refrigerate a second time. So heat ‘em up as you go through them.

And if you don’t eat them by tomorrow, I wouldn’t push them any further.

Some people don’t think taco bell is safe to eat fresh.

Personally, I hate throwing out food, and if it looked okay, I would chow down.

Only if you have the right amount of alcohol to balance the taco/drunkenness ratio.

I would argue that they were unfit for eating 30 seconds after you bought them. They will not have improved.

It’s OK by me, as long as I don’t have to eat them.

I’ve eaten stuff in my refrigerator that has been there 5 days and have suffered no ill effects. If they don’t smell bad, I’d take the lettuce out and and reheat them. Add salsa to taste.

13 two day old soft taco supremes. That sounds horrid.

It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘okay’ is.

If they were left uncovered then no, I would not eat them. If they were wrapped in some kind of packaging then yes they are still ok to eat.

I’m not sure it’s OK to eat ANY Taco Bell product, no matter how long it’s been in sitting in any appliance….

Update: I put them in the freezer as emergency food. Sort of like food purgatory.

Oooh. Yummy. Two-day old Taco Bell soft tacos that have been frozen and then eventually thawed. A gustatory delight.

Toss the tacos and eat the packaging.

If you eat it and get sick THEN its not Ok to eat.
