Who would like to play TJBM #65?

Asked by Mimishu1995 (23628points) November 6th, 2015

The game rules are:
Respond to the question/statement from the poster above.
Ex: I might make the statement:
“The Jelly below me wants more chocolate.”
The response might be:
“False! Chocolate is my enemy.”
or,
“True! I can’t live without chocolate.”
Then they might state:
“The Jelly below me has golden teeth.”
There are no right or wrong answers, so be as creative as your heart desires.
Happily, this is becoming the Never Ending TJBM Game. Tradition now suggests that a jelly re-start the question when we reach about 300 responses (though 500 is still OK I think). Hopefully almost all the Jellies will join in.
Enjoy!

Strauss's avatar

TJBM is refugee from TJBM #64.

Here2_4's avatar

Indeed I am.
TJBM has been away for quite a while.

jca's avatar

False. I check in here a bunch of times every day.

TJBM is excited that winter is right around the corner.

Here2_4's avatar

I’m on the fence. I enjoy winter, but I fear the storms which threaten isolation, falls, and lost power.
TJBM likes losing power when it is not deathly cold, and perishable foods are not at risk.

Banjo_Pickin_Appalachian_Wizar's avatar

That’s me. TJBM never skipped school.

Seek's avatar

True. I skipped individual classes to hang out in the art room or work on a newspaper deadline, but never a full day.

TJBM knows how to throw a pot.

Here2_4's avatar

I have thrown a tantrum, tried to throw my voice, but I have flowers in my pots and they don’t care to be thrown.
TJBM chortled.

Coloma's avatar

Not recently but I did swear this morning at 4 am when I got up to use the bathroom and my bath robe sash caught on the door handle of the bathroom and I almost got knocked off my feet. lol

TJBM is making an early T-‘s-Giving dinner today, just because it sounds good.

longgone's avatar

Nope. Mac ‘n’ Cheese, because I happened to fond that in a store today.

TJBM has never hugged a tree.

Here2_4's avatar

I have hugged many trees.
TJBM has kissed a dead animal.

Seek's avatar

I have, when old Bub was euthanized.

TJBM is a dog person.

Here2_4's avatar

Hmmm, not especially, but I like ‘em usually.
TJBM thinks TJAM should write about Bub, but not name it, “Bub And Me.”

Mimishu1995's avatar

TJBM is excited to read what The Jelly Above TJAM will write.

dxs's avatar

What? I don’t get that. @Here2_4 wrote something already. She said write about bud, but not name it “bud and me.”
The jelly below me is going to a buffet tomorrow.

Coloma's avatar

False, but we have tons of leftovers here from last nights early T’s-Giving bash. I am going to have chicken, stuffing and cranberry sauce for breakfast soon. haha

TJBM eats dinner foods for breakfast a lot of the time.

jca's avatar

False. Breakfast for me is usually vanilla Greek yogurt with added ground walnuts and some type of whole berry thrown in.

TJBM eats breakfast foods for dinner on many occasions.

Here2_4's avatar

Sure I do. I’ve never seen a written rule anyway.
TJBM couldn’t give a care for written rules.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

Absolutely. Other than the “big” ones. No rape, murder, etc.

TJBM is a stickler for the rules.

Seek's avatar

Kind of. I have to have s good reason to break them, or at least sufficient reason to believe I won’t be punished.

TJBM writes their own rules.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Sure, a lot. Just a list of things I feel comfortable with.
TJBM is flexible.

jca's avatar

I’m very flexible. My knees can go up near my ears LOL.

TJBM looks at Fluther while at work.

OpryLeigh's avatar

Sometimes

TJBM is enjoying a needed day off.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, I did, yesterday. I could use a few more. haha

TJBM has a favorite bath robe or sweatshirt or some comfy, kick around clothing item.

Strauss's avatar

I have a terrycloth robe that’s about 20 years old. It’s so warm and comfy my wife calls it my “magic robe”.

TJBM likes mac and cheese at thanksgiving.

Seek's avatar

I love mac-and-cheese, but I have no love for pasta in any form at Thanksgiving. All my carbs come from potatoes and bread.

TJBM still have a favourite blanket.

Strauss's avatar

I had a favorite blanket, a wool football blanket from my high school, that just last year succumbed to age and over 50 years of use.

Here2_4's avatar

While TJAM ruminates about remnants, I will provide the missing end of his response.
TJBM has used something for fifty years or more before throwing it out.

Seek's avatar

Nay. I have not yet had 50 years in which to use anything. I think the oldest thing I own that I purchased new was one particular dressy blouse. It was purchased in… I want to say 2000. The oldest thing that I did own but had to throw away was an antique silver teapot. It was unfortunately broken during a move. The oldest thing I currently own is a Bible that was printed in 1848.

TJBM owns something that is over 100 years old.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes, the telephone. Telephone is invented over 100 years ago ~
TJBM loves old things.

dxs's avatar

Yeah, especially coins. The earliest one I found was a penny from 1925. I do have a few coins from the late 1800s that my great uncle gave me, though.
The Jelly below me likes collecting wheat pennies.

Strauss's avatar

Funny—I remember when the wheat pennies were the only pennies in my pocket…

TJBM has had wheat pennies in their pocket

Here2_4's avatar

Do right now.
TJBM doesn’t have pockets.

Strauss's avatar

Sometimes I have too many pockets.

TJBM has too many pockets.

Coloma's avatar

Haha…lets see, right now, pockets in my jammie bottoms, pockets in my hoodie and pockets in my vest. I have 6 pockets at my disposal right now, none are full of anything.

TJBM has had a DMV appt. recently. I have to take the damn vision test today to renew my license, you’d think they could deduce if I have had zero accidents in the last 10 years that I must be able to see pretty well, but noooo…lol

Mimishu1995's avatar

What is that thing?
TJBM is worried that they will lose their licence.

Coloma's avatar

DMV is Americas ” Department of motor vehicles.”

No, I passed my exam and am good to go for another 10 years, I could be dead before I lose my license.

TJBM ate pizza tonight.

Strauss's avatar

Yep. We bought a Newman’s Own “supreme” and just popped it in the oven.

TJBM has something in the oven.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

I did a while ago. I made test pumpkin pies from a recipe from the 1700s. I wanted to make them ahead of time to see if it was worth making it for Thanksgiving.

TJBM loves cooking from scratch.

Seek's avatar

So much! I have a running experimental archaeology project where I’m recreating a piece of oatmeal bread that was found in a 9th century Irish garbage pit.

I also cook things people other than me want to eat, occasionally. haha.

TJBM has a weird hobby.

jca's avatar

I have a somewhat unusual hobby of decoupage. It’s from the Victorian era, and consists of gluing pictures to objects and then layering on many coats of polyurethane. I do it in conjunction with faux finishing. I learned to decoupage when I took a faux finishing class at college.

TJBM is off work today, Veterans’ Day.

dxs's avatar

Nope. 7 hours and no extra pay (thought that was illegal but I guess not).
The jelly below me hasn’t had a day off since summer.

Mimishu1995's avatar

You are describing my current life :(
TJBM can’t wait for a holiday.

Strauss's avatar

I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving. Spending time with family…

TJBM likes spending time with family.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, my daughter is coming up here Sat. and we are making my famous cranberry apple relish and then having a little dinner and watching a movie.

TJBM has access to locally grown Mandarin Oranges right now. OMG..I can;t stop eating them, haha

Strauss's avatar

Quit it! You’re making me jealous.

TJBM is jealous of TJAM.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’m jealous of her for living with the nature. I’m stuck in this city.
TJBM grows tired of the city.

OpryLeigh's avatar

Yes, I’m a country girl through and through.

TJBM enjoys watching re runs of Third Rock Fron The Sun.

Strauss's avatar

Oh yeah! Just binged the first 5 episodes of season 3.

TJBM sometimes binge-watches.

Here2_4's avatar

Not often.
TJBM binge watches nature.

Coloma's avatar

Yes. Today I saw a great blue heron, an egret, and red winged blackbirds at the pond in our pasture here.

TJBM has a birthday coming up in their family.

Mimishu1995's avatar

November is my dad’s birthday!
TJBM pays tribute to their family.

Seek's avatar

Haven’t spoken to any of them in eight years or more, except my little brother and his daughter.

TJBM knows an awesome way to spend a birthday.

Coloma's avatar

These days, I’m happy to just stay home and have cocktails and dinner or meet a friend for lunch.
My daughters B-Day is next Weds. and she is coming out tomorrow and we are going to make cranberry sauce and have dinner, gifts. :-)

TJBM is still in the PJ’s right now.

OpryLeigh's avatar

It’s nearly 8pm here and I am in my dressing gown after a long day at work!

TJBM is enjoying a Friday night glass of wine.

Coloma's avatar

Only 12:15 pm here, but yes, in a few more hours I shall. Right now I am doing major housework, laundry and getting things in order for the weekend.

TJBM wishes they could just wish some lunch to appear right now. haha

Seek's avatar

I have no desire to cook today at all. It’s leftover chicken casserole tonight.

TJBM loves leftover night.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I thought I was the only one…
TJBM eats leftover and stays up late.

Here2_4's avatar

I don’t have leftovers. I do often stay up late.
TJBM has been the victim of identity theft.

Coloma's avatar

No, knock on wood, but my daughter has, twice!

TJBM can’t decide if they should have a cocktail or just go straight for dinner. haha

Here2_4's avatar

About to eat right now. Dinner got delayed watching the news.
TJBM is stunned by the current news in Paris of the many terrorist attacks taking place there today.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

No. I wish I was, but I’m not. This is humanity. I’m extremely saddened, but I’m not at all shocked.

TJBM believes that humanity will never change.

Seek's avatar

The modern world is considerably less violent today that it has been in the past; however, I fear we will eradicate the species before we eradicate violence as a whole.

TJBM wonders whether the species deserves a future.

Coloma's avatar

Personally, no. haha
I’d like to see all the other species reclaim their paradise minus hominids, at least for a few thousand years so the planet can regenerate.

TJBM believes all life forms are of value.

Brian1946's avatar

True, and some are more valuable than others: trees > bees > worms > many other species > humans.

TJBM believes that I will be the oldest participant in this thread.

Strauss's avatar

Possibly. If TJAM’s screen name reflects his birthdate, he’s a couple years older than I am.

TJBM is younger than I am

Mimishu1995's avatar

Is that something needed to be proven? :P
TJBM is even younger.

jca's avatar

I am not younger than @Mimishu1995. I am probably more than twice her age, I think.

TJBM is spending an lazy, unproductive Saturday morning on Fluther and watching the news of Paris attacks.

Seek's avatar

I never watch the news. It’s depressing, and there’s nothing I can do about it.

I’m spending a leisurely morning enjoying brunch at home with my husband and a few of his friends who crashed here after a concert last night, in lieu of driving home. I think we’re taking the little one to Chuck E. Cheese’s after the guests leave.

TJBM has fun plans for the day.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, if I can manage to wrap up the last of the house crap here. Have a little birthday bash for my daughter at 3. It is now 12:59 pm and I have about 2 hours to make up my bed, put away the laundry, finish the outside animal chores, mop the kitchen, shower, dress and wrap gifts. Sheesh… gotta-get-it-together-now. lol

TJBM has had a full day and it is only early afternoon.

jca's avatar

@Coloma: Did you get it all done?

Here2_4's avatar

Slow day. Snow day. Saturday.
TJBM likes long – winded answers.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Used to. Now I only want the point. The overly long answers going nowhere give me the impression that the person is trying to shy away from the question.
TJBM has some explanation to do.

dxs's avatar

Gotta persuade my landlord to break our lease. Gahh this is so difficult.
The jelly below me will he my advocate.

Strauss's avatar

Sure…!?! Maybe?!?

TJBM sometimes jumps into things like this just to help.

Coloma's avatar

Sometimes, I would be the worlds most lenient landlord, probably why I shouldn’t ever be one. haha

TJBM is going to enjoy a super lazy Sunday and stay in their jammies all day!

Coloma's avatar

@jca Yes, and now, today, 10:10 a.m. on the west coast, I am alternating between lounging around inside and out on the porch in the sun, a luxurious day of doing absolutely no-thing except sitting and eating and resting and fluthering and movie watching. :-)

jca's avatar

I have a bad cold but that doesn’t keep me down. I’m at Costco (Sunday evening four days before Thanksgiving ). It’s a madhouse.

TJBM detests shopping.

Here2_4's avatar

No, but like to take my time, and I hate when they make me feel rushed.
TJBM doesn’t like to be rushed.

Coloma's avatar

I don’t think anyone does but I am good at rallying t the last minute. haha

TJBM has a painful body part that’s bothering them.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

Always my rib, but I’m also getting a headache.

TJBM wishes that there were 12 days of Christmas.

Here2_4's avatar

Families only need to choose it. We used to, when the dynamics were different, celebrate Christmas with an advent calendar, and each time we opened a door, we did something Christmasy together. Some nights we sang carols, some nights we baked goodies, some nights it was watch Christmas specials together. On Christmas eve, we would each choose one present we would “allow” for early open. It would round out to one gift for each member to have early. It was always some small, nice but not life changing gift.

TJBM is thinking of how to stretch out Christmas at their home.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Christmas is nothing here. Just another occassion to go out and enjoy ourselves. The real work is at New Year’s Eve, everyone has to work over the whole house.
TJBM wishes they have more holiday.

Here2_4's avatar

I wish TJAM had more holiday.
TJBM has at least one food they don’t want at every Thanksgiving meal just because it is tradition I their family.

jca's avatar

My family makes a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and there’s nothing that I dislike. Stuffing in the bird, made with sausage, string beans (not casserole, just boiled), roasted brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes (no marshmallows and sugar casserole for us), good bread, and apple pie and pumpkin pie. All homemade. All good. I forgot the cranberry sauce – homemade too. Very simple, very traditional.

TJBM is happy that we’re in the holiday season.

Seek's avatar

I’m uncharacteristically happy about it this year. Thanksgiving is always “my holiday”, but this year I’m actually happy about Christmas, too. Don’t know why, in just feeling it.

TJBM is a last minute gift-shopper.

Strauss's avatar

I was until I met my wife. She is a year-round gift-shopper. (“Oh look! This would make a great gift for Cousin So-and-so!)

TJBM has a “Cousin So-and-so”.

Coloma's avatar

Nope, I am an only child, born late in life and all the extended family are dead. lol

TJBM is an only child.

jca's avatar

I was an only child until I was 18, when my sister was born. So for 18 years, I was an only child. Spoiled, given all the attention, all those things. When she came along, the last thing I wanted was attention from my parents haha.

TJBM enjoys going to the movies in the movie theater.

Here2_4's avatar

No.
TJBM had to shout something today. (what?)

Coloma's avatar

Nope, not so far anyway.

TJBM is hungry for lunch now!

Mimishu1995's avatar

My breakfast is my lunch!
TJBM eats too much.

Coloma's avatar

I did tonight and now I have a tummy ache. Ugh!

TJBM ate too much tonight too.

Seek's avatar

Nope, I’m cutting back on my portions lately. I tend to eat my feelings and I’ve had about 15 lbs. too much worth lately.

TJBM hates dieting.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

I hate food in general lately. Ever since I found out I have hypothyroidism, all food feels like my enemy. >:(

TJBM has found something extremely bizarre in their food.

Here2_4's avatar

There are certain foods I will never eat again because of occasions where I found something so very wrong that facing the particular food is unbearable.
TJBM knows what a blue dragon is.

jca's avatar

I have never heard of a blue dragon, other than what might be in a children’s book.

TJBM is gearing up for Black Friday.

Coloma's avatar

Nope, but I did just order some cute Croc rain boots on amazon.
These… www.crocs.com/p/crocs-womens-jaunt-shortyboot/15769.html

TJBM likes my new boots. haha

Strauss's avatar

Nice boots. Keep all the muck and ranch mud out of your socks!

TJBM hates getting their socks wet while they are still wearing them.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, and my old boots have cracks now, ugh. lol

TJBM likes our new horse ‘Froggy” in my avatar? It’s a day of new things here. lol

Strauss's avatar

Nice horse, @Coloma !—One of my best friend’s nickname is “Froggy”!

TJBM has or knows someone with an interesting nickname.

Seek's avatar

I’m in the SCA. I know very few people who DON’T have a funny nickname.

TJBM has a friend whose real name they have never known.

Brian1946's avatar

@Seek Which of the following does SCA stand for: Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget, Sexual Compulsives Anonymous, or Society for Creative Anachronism? Anyone else wanna take a wild guess which one? ;-p

Mimishu1995's avatar

Err… a friend here on Fluther. I still don’t really know his name.
TJBM has a friend on Fluther.

reijinni's avatar

none that exists elsewhere.
TJBM misses seeing this show.

Seek's avatar

The Society for Creative Anachronism.

I am Lady Uasal ingen Eogain of the Barony of Wyvernwoode, in the Kingdom of Trimaris.

Here2_4's avatar

Never saw it before, not sorry I missed it.
TJBM has dishonored their family.

Coloma's avatar

Haha…not that I am aware of.

TJBM juggles butcher knives.

jca's avatar

No, I can’t juggle anything, let alone butcher knives, but I can balance brooms on my finger tips and on my palms, and I can do the same with chairs.

TJBM is enjoying some peace and solitude right now.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

Not yet, but hopefully once I start baking my apple pies for tomorrow. Got the pumpkin done already.

TJBM starts cooking at dawn on holidays.

Mastema's avatar

I’m neither a jelly nor a cook. I am a hunter.

TJBM seeks justice.

Coloma's avatar

Nah, I’m an easy going type, unless you’re a real jackass than yep, I’ll fillet you like a Salmon. lol

TJBM is baking something delicious right now on a coooold late afternoon.

jca's avatar

I’m going to be baking, very soon, a oat-pecan crusted pumpkin pie. I have all the ingredients, it’s more a matter of me getting inspired to make it. I might see if I can do the crust tonight, chill overnight and then mix the pumpkin and bake tomorrow. Right now I’m enjoying having gotten out of work early and had a great lazy afternoon, including a little nap.

TJBM is thinking they enjoy Thanksgiving leftovers more than they enjoy the actual Thanksgiving dinner.

Seek's avatar

Oh definitely. Leftover Sandwiches are a sacred thing in the Mitchell household. I’m going to have to bake extra bread.

TJBM puts mashed potatoes on their (carbariffic) leftover sandwiches.

Mimishu1995's avatar

No, but I saw a relatives do it. She then offered part of the meal to me.
TJBM has to accept something gross.

Coloma's avatar

Gross, well….not accepting but I did have to wipe some poo and cat litter off my extra fluffy cats butt last night. That’s always special. haha

TJBM is starting their Thanksgiving early with a cocktail and pie. lol

Strauss's avatar

Not quite yet, but I’ll probably crack the first “Fat Tire” before noon.

TJBM likes left-over dressing fried in butter.

jca's avatar

Leftover dressing fried in butter? No thanks. Sounds gross.

TJBM is watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV right now.

Seek's avatar

No, hubby’s watching some Planet of the Apes movie. I’m Queen of the Kitchen.

TJBM has been to the Macy’s Parade.

jca's avatar

I have been to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade a few times. Once, when I was about ten, we stood on 42nd Street, which, back in the day, Times Square was known for porn shops and movies. All of the photos taken of me and the parade have “Pink Pussycat Theater“in the background LOL. Then two other times, once when it was great and once when it was so packed we weren’t anywhere near the parade and we couldn’t see a thing (all the surrounding streets get packed, too), and it was freezing and so we left. You have to get there at the crack of dawn or else don’t bother. It is fun, though.

TJBM has tried making a new recipe for this Thanksgiving.

Coloma's avatar

I made baked brussels sprouts the night before last with smoked paprika and they were amazing, had the leftovers yesterday. I celebrated T’sGiving on Tues. and again yesterday with friends so no more cooking. haha

TJBM is not rigid about what days they celebrate the holidays when juggling other peoples agendas.

Mimishu1995's avatar

True. I can even celebrate a one week old celebration.
TJBM has a taste for fun.

Coloma's avatar

Sure, who doesn’t. haha

TJBM has cold feet.

jca's avatar

@Coloma: I do have cold feet? How did you know? I have to wear socks to bed when it’s cold out. For some reason, my feet know when it’s cold outside.

TJBM is going to do a home project this weekend.

Coloma's avatar

True, we are setting up a new stall for the new horse arriving tomorrow. Putting up wind break panels on the outside of the paddock that attaches to the stall and installing a new auto-water system. @jca haha, same here, no socks at night but double socks lately as it has been fffrrreeezzzing here.

TJBM has had freezing temps. lately.

Seek's avatar

Mmmmnope. Willing to take a few off your hands if you’re offering!

TJBM would happily trade a hurricane for a blizzard.

Here2_4's avatar

Geez, I don’t want either one, but I guess I am more resigned to a blizzard when one happens.
TJBM wants to resign.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes! A cetificate so that I can leave this school please!
TJBM is unlearning something.

reijinni's avatar

not at the moment.
TJBM wants to win a free trip to Iran.

Strauss's avatar

Not unless it’s a guaranteed round trip.

TJBM has gotten a congratulatory phone call recently.

Coloma's avatar

Mmmm, not really congratulatory but I have received a lot of compliments and praise from the people I have taken a new ranch sitting job for. Back tomorrow for another 12 day gig.

TJBM likes my Toucan avatar. haha

Here2_4's avatar

I do!
TJBM is TJBM.

Mimishu1995's avatar

My name isn’t TJBM :D
TJBM is TJAM.

Coloma's avatar

Nope, I’m the jelly 3 up :-p

TJBM hates packing to go somewhere. Gah…stuff everywhere, critical mass. lol

jca's avatar

I don’t mind packing to go somewhere because it usually means a fun trip. I make a list and check it twice and reassure myself that if I forget anything, I can always stop at the store.

TJBM is planning their next vacation.

reijinni's avatar

nope
TJBM is going to name their boy “Sue”.

Strauss's avatar

I think I’ll name him…

Bill or George, anything but Sue!

TJBM likes Johnny Cash.

Here2_4's avatar

No. Ew, icky.
TJBM likes to step on bugs.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Anything but cockroaches!
TJBM has irrational fear.

Strauss's avatar

Yeah, I am claustrophobic.

TJBM is some type of phobia.

Mimishu1995's avatar

You have claustrophobia? That’s new to me.
Yes. It’s called… roachophobia!
TJBM knows the origin of their phobia.

Strauss's avatar

I have a pretty good idea where it came from. @Mimishu1995 I was totally unaware of it until I was in my 20’s.

TJBM has a condition they were totally unaware of until later in life.

Here2_4's avatar

My parents thought I was a picky eater. Turns out I have a few food allergies.
TJBM has an eating disorder.

Coloma's avatar

I wouldn’t call it a disorder but I am prone to occasional binge eating. haha
@Yetanotheruser, I love old Johnny Cash.

TJBM is waking up right now.

Strauss's avatar

No, I’ve been up about five hours!

TJBM has allergy issues that are more than simply annoying.

Coloma's avatar

Yes! I feel absolutely sick, like I have the flu, when they are really bad. Body aches, fatigue, it sucks!

TJBM is waiting for the next storm to show up tomorrow.

Strauss's avatar

Yep! It’s coming past you toward me. I’ve noticed that Colorado usually gets California’s storms.

TJBM has experienced personal good fortune recently.

Coloma's avatar

Mmmm…no, but I have in the past. I am enjoying a nice fire this morning before the storm, it’s the little things that count. @Yetanotheruser yep, our storms roll over the Sierras and into the Rockies a lot of the time.

TJBM buys kiddie breakfast cereals on occasion, like Cocoa Puffs.

Strauss's avatar

I still have a “kiddie” (soon to be 16) in the house. But that doesn’t stop me from enjoying chocolate-y goodness in the morning.

TJBM likes chocolate-y goodness in the morning.

Coloma's avatar

Sometimes yes.

TJBM has heard that yet another mass shooting is unfolding here in CA. right now, when will the madness stop?

Here2_4's avatar

Oh gosh. Not yet. I haven’t seen any news today.
TJBM suddenly feels depressed.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I can have my suddenly down moments. But not now.
TJBM has sudden feeling.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, quite often today as I’m listening to a vintage 70’s music on TV. Songs I haven’t heard in years and years.

TJBM is trying to stay calm.

Coloma's avatar

I’m calm enough but I have a headache from listening to the dogs here where I am house sitting obsessively chewing on a squeaky pig toy. It’s like a herd of 2 year olds, I am about to take away the toys and give them a time out. lol

TJBM wonders why anyone would have four dogs!

reijinni's avatar

nope
TJBM is wondering why people waste their time every week by going to church.

Coloma's avatar

Nope, not my thing but each to his own.

TJBM is hungry for breakfast!

Mimishu1995's avatar

You want me to eat two breakfasts?
TJBM has a big stomach.

Strauss's avatar

If you’re talking about my midsection, it’s down to leave the smallest it’s been in many years. Ad far as the actual stomach, I’ve had a hearty appetite all my life. Not sure what that says about my stomach size.

TJBM is concerned about stomach size.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, now that I have sprained my ankle and have been hobbling around minus the usual spring in my step, the last 8–9 weeks, well…I have gained a little weight lately.

TJBM has gained some weight recently.

Here2_4's avatar

I lost weight lately, which sort of surprised me.
TJBM has been surprised lately

reijinni's avatar

not really
TJBM ran over Santa Claus.

Coloma's avatar

I think it would be hard to hit Santa, and he’d probably cause as much damage as a reindeer. lol
TJBM has ran over their own pet or known someone that has.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Um… my pets are fish so if that happened it would be…
TJBM ran over the chatroom and knew what @Here2_4 was talking about.

ibstubro's avatar

Nope. It could have been hours, days or weeks ago.

TJBM is sad to know that they will be losing something they love dearly soon.

Coloma's avatar

No, no great losses on the horizon, did that already in the last few years. haha

TJBM is heading out to deliver some Xmas goodies to the neighbors.

Here2_4's avatar

Tomorrow. I am still wrapping right now.
TJBM is rapping.

Seek's avatar

I don’t rap. Ever. Well, sometimes I’ll do Rapper’s Delight, ironically.

TJBM is confused as to why Star Wars is getting so much attention as compared to the clearly superior films that have recently been released, or are being released in the next week.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes. But then again Star Wars is too well known.
TJBM is going to watch something less known.

jca's avatar

I would like to see a movie this weekend. I heard the movie Brooklyn is good. I also bought the book from Costco.

I’d also like to make some special food item this weekend. I have ingredients to make homemade marshmallows. I heard they’re easy to make and taste way better than the store bought. I also bought a candy thermometer for this.

TJBM is going to bake something special for this holiday season.

Coloma's avatar

I made my cranberry apple relish the other day and am baking some pumpkin bread with slivered almonds today.

TJBM is eating way too much sugar right now.

Seek's avatar

Definitely. Peanut brittle, Christmas cookies, chocolate dipped cranberries.

I put Splenda in my coffee this morning, so I get credit, right?

TJBM should also be cutting back on their calories.

Brian1946's avatar

True dat- I would need a solar furnace to burn what I’ve consumed this season.

TJBM can name something that consumes 600 million tons of hydrogen per second.

Coloma's avatar

Horses. lol

TJBM must venture out into the fffrrreeezing cold soon to do some outdoor chores. No holidays with horses.

Seek's avatar

Ha! It’s 85 degrees out today. I did just transplant some aloe shoots from my big potted plant.

TJBM misses winter.

dxs's avatar

Eh It’ll be here soon. It’s about 70 here today. Crazy. No fffrrreeezing cold at all.
The Jelly below me will make frosted sugar cookies for me.

ibstubro's avatar

Alas, no. But I’d be happy to make a carrot cake, German Upside Down cake or chocolate cherry cake.

TJBM has started their Valentine shopping. (I just bought a candy heart at Walmart, 12–24.)

Mimishu1995's avatar

What for? I don’t have any boyfriend.
TJBM doesn’t know the meaning of Valentine.

Strauss's avatar

Oh, but I do. However, I want to get through New Year’s Day/weekend before I start worrying about the next holiday.

TJBM does not celebrate the new year on Jan. 1.

Coloma's avatar

Jan. 1. is the New year for me.
I don’t really celebrate anymore, period, maybe a little champagne, bed before midnight. haha

TJBM has had grilled bacon wrapped water chestnuts. ( Making those now on Xmas morning at 9:35 a.m. with Mimososa. :-D )

Here2_4's avatar

No, I haven’t! So make sure to include enough for me!
TJBM is feeling the loss of someone not gathered with them today.

Seek's avatar

Sort of. I have missed my grandmother this year. She, and my step-grandfather with her, really ROCKED at Christmas. I miss the weeks of cookie baking and candy making, the big dinner parties, caroling, all of it. Not for myself, but because my son is of an age to really appreciate the magic of it all.

TJBM fondly remembers family holiday celebrations.

Coloma's avatar

Yes. things sure do change as time goes by.

TJBM is still snacking on stuff, stuff, stuff…stuffed. lol

ibstubro's avatar

Not too bad. I just ate a couple Dove Dark Chocolate covered cranberries, though.

TJBM plans on being out early in the morning, shopping for after-Christmas bargains.

Coloma's avatar

Hell no! Besides…it’s my birthday! ;-D

TJBM has had a recent birthday or is about to.

Seek's avatar

My birthday is day-after-tomorrow. A new decade to look forward to. Joy.

TJBM also shares their birthday with approximately eight million cultural holidays.

Mimishu1995's avatar

You think I can be born eight million times?
TJBM is celebrating their birthday.

Coloma's avatar

Not yet, I have 13 hours and 20 minutes to go before it’s official. @Seek Haha…a decade milestone for you eye?

TJBM is weary and ready for bed.

Seek's avatar

Beyond. But I think it’ll be next year before Ian is done playing with his new video game.
Yep, 30 this year.

TJBM has a good suggestion on how to drag a 7 year old away from a new Wii U.

Here2_4's avatar

Hmmmm, candy, and a straight jacket? XBOX ONE? (It has cute little robots inside the controller.)
TJBM would do it with a programmable partner.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

Nope. No way. Way too weird for me. If it was sentient and intelligent, though, that would be entirely different.

TJBM does not have a secret. Not meaning that everyone knows everything, but that there’s at least one person who knows all of what would be your secrets from other people. (There’s not a single thing that only you know about yourself/your life.)

Mimishu1995's avatar

No. I always spill everything to one person. Her name is… @Mimishu1995 :D
TJBM is narcissistic.

Coloma's avatar

Everyone is a little narcissistic but a few traits does not a true narcissistic make.

TJBM knows a pathological narcissist.

Ela's avatar

How to Spot A Narcissist
1. His needs come first. You have to plan your life around his.
2. He takes more than he gives. You now realize that his show of attention on you at one stage was pretense.
3. He talks about himself all the time. You can barely get a word in about your needs, concerns and ideas.
4. He can be manipulative, abusive and controlling. Your voice is reduced to a whimper around him.
5. He belittles you constantly. Your sense of self-worth has been shredded to pieces repeatedly.
6. He has lack of empathy for others. He is insensitive towards the feelings of his loved ones, including yours.
7. He strives to ensure that his stories of accomplishment are forever etched in your mind.
8. He is always in the right. It is as if he can do no or little wrong. Even when he has a part to play, he will make it seem as if you are to blame. He is a world-class wordsmith.
9. He has trouble committing to a relationship. You have to give in to his demands for space; but you have to be on his beck and call.
10. His negative reactions are often excessive in relation to the issue. You are taken aback by his rage and punishing ways towards you.
hmmm…..

Gonna have to say a big fat True here

TJBM thinks it’s nap time! YaY!

Strauss's avatar

Yay! Nap time! I’m gonna take a nap and dream of performing random acts of kindness.

TJBM gets satisfaction from random acts of kindness.

Coloma's avatar

I do, but I haven;t had the opportunity for awhile now to perform one.

TJBM has eaten 479 christmas cookies since last week.

Here2_4's avatar

Good grief no.
TJBM watched the Peanuts 50th anniversary Christmas special.

ibstubro's avatar

Good grief, no.

TJBM saw a spectacular new Christmas special this year.

Coloma's avatar

Good grief no. lol

TJBM is putting up with a moody person in their life.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Good grief, no.
TJBM says “Good grief, no”.

dxs's avatar

Good grief, no.
The Jelly below me has to wake up at 5:37am tomorrow.

Coloma's avatar

Haha..good grief no…more like 7:37 @dxs Is the extra 7 minutes your snooze allowance? lol

TJBM likes these commercials

www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD2ogB7jkIk

dxs's avatar

No and not really. (They have nothing to do with Ziploc)

The Jelly below me is.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Good grief yes.
TJBM is not.

Strauss's avatar

No.

TJBM is.

Coloma's avatar

Is what? Yes, I is.

TJBM is waking up with Folgers in their cup.

Ela's avatar

Nope, I don’t drink coffee. I just likes to sniffs it ; )

TJBM is sportin a milk mustache

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nope. Not yet.

TJBM has to GET DRESSED, MESS WITH THEIR HAIR, PUT ON SHOES AND GO TO WALMART and she doesn’t want to. It’s cold, snowy and freezing out. But she has to go.

dxs's avatar

No. If I had to, I guess I’d skip all the prep and just go in my pjs. Does that one ever get old?
The Jelly below me wouldn’t step foot in a Walmart even if you paid them.

OpryLeigh's avatar

False. I love Walmart! (I’m a Brit who loves supermarkets and we don’t have Walmart over here!!)

TJBM enjoys Jack Daniels.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Rarely. Very, very rarely.

TJBM likes feeling like you’ve earned your time off.

Coloma's avatar

Oh, I don’t have t feel it, I know it! lol

TJBM made some killer spaghetti sauce today.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Mom! Show these people the spaghetti sauce recipe you’ve just discovered.
TJBM is going to work all day with no rest.

Here2_4's avatar

No
TJBM is happy.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Um, content. But I have a cold and I’d rather be in bed, but I have work to do. But I am content.

TJBM is glad the Christmas Crazy is Over.

Coloma's avatar

I’m glad this year is over, I am hoping 2016 will find me in a better place. haha

TJBM is craving cole slaw.

Seek's avatar

No, but I have spent all morning making crab cakes from this 100 lbs. of stone crab claws my fisherman friend dropped off last night. He’ll be late to our friend’s new year’s party, and asked us to drop off his contribution to the potluck.

Dan is crazy in my favorite way.

TJBM enjoys breaking things open with a hammer.

Coloma's avatar

Haha, sometimes yes. OPMG @Seek I adore crab cakes, what time does the party start?

TJBM wants to be adopted by a crab cake maker.

Mimishu1995's avatar

That was my childhood’s wish.
TJBM appreciates what they have.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I have a burrito and I sure do appreciate it. I’m starving!

TJBM is finishing up a dream project.

Coloma's avatar

No, I have finished dream projects but not for about 7 years now. :-(

TJBM has a cat on their keyboard right now.

jca's avatar

I have a cat by the side of the keyboard, and a cat at the foot of the bed.
TJBM feels like today is Saturday, not Friday.

Coloma's avatar

No, because it is saturday now. haha

TJBM has a pain in their body somewhere right now.

Seek's avatar

Dude.

Ian was wrestling with Jason the other day. He ran full speed and knocked Jason into me. I was sitting on the floor. My husband is no small man. He completely lost his footing and rolled over me, basically bending me over the sofa.

My back is killing me. I honestly thought something might be broken for a while.

Ian feels horrible.

TJBM also wishes they had something stronger than advil.

Coloma's avatar

OMG…do I!

Wow @Seek that sounds bad, years ago my friends little son who was about 4 swung this hard plastic baseball bat and cracked her right on the her bare ankle bone at his birthday party, she hit the deck and was effed up for days. haha

TJBM wants a new drug.

Here2_4's avatar

How about an old drug with new reduction in restrictions?
TJBM like having restrictions reduced.

ibstubro's avatar

If that’s like undoing the top button on your pants after a huge holiday mea, I’m all for it.

TJBM chews ice.

Mimishu1995's avatar

All the time.
TJBM does something all the time.

Strauss's avatar

Yep… it’s sure something, all the time.

TJBM is looking for something that can be either medical or recreational in nature.

jca's avatar

Not me. I don’t partake in the “can be medical or recreational in nature” stuff.

I am, however, soaking some dried fruits in various liquors in order to make the recipe “Jamaican (or Trini) Black Cake.” It’s a fruit cake that is made from pureed fruits that are soaked in liquor, so it’s not chunky, but rather, black and boozy and very flavorful. I’ve never made it before but have eaten it and I like it very much. It’s rich but it’s great. The fruits can soak for days or weeks or even months.

TJBM wants to try making a new recipe.

reijinni's avatar

not really
TJBM is willing to deep-fry a duck.

Coloma's avatar

Never!
We have 2 pet ducks and 4 pet geese here and my darling chinese gander turns 18 this year. I boycott all down products and hate the foie gras industry.

TJBM boycotts duck and goose live pate based on the cruel practices of the industry.

Seek's avatar

No, just the high cost of such meats, and my general lack of desire to consume liver of any kind.

I have it on good authority that basically anything cooked in duck fat tastes better. I’d like to try at some point.

TJBM has had a Christmas Goose.

Mimishu1995's avatar

How about Christmas duck? Much cheaper and more fitting to our stomachs :)
TJBM prefers ducks.

Strauss's avatar

Duck eggs!

DUCK! EGGS!

TJBM is going to bed now. Say “Good night,” Gracie!

jca's avatar

No, I just woke up and am returning to work after a week and a day off – off the whole week between Christmas Friday and today, the Monday after New Year’s. It was a great week and although I don’t mind my job, the whole routine and schedule is painful, and I’ve enjoyed the freedom of being off.

TJBM does not like Mondays.

Here2_4's avatar

Mondays have never been a problem for me. I actually prefer Mondays to Fridays. Most people seem to be distracted at work on Fridays, so it is hard to accomplish anything except at home.
TJBM is being distracted a lot today.

dxs's avatar

You read my mind. I have a reading/writing test to take later on today that bores to death.
The Jelly below me hates writing formal essays.

Strauss's avatar

Yep. Haven’t had to do it for about 40 years, but I remember the grueling process.

TJBM remembers a grueling process

Coloma's avatar

Yes, today, having to wait for one hour and 45 minutes to have a leaky tire repaired when I had an appt. lol I read every damn magazine in Americas Tire store today. Gah.

TJBM hates obnoxious types that argue just for the sake of arguing even when they full well get what you’re saying.

Here2_4's avatar

Screaming like banshee AHHHHHHHHH ! ! ! ! ! Yes.
TJBM has seen a banshee.

ibstubro's avatar

No, but I get a kick out of banjo.

TJBM is craving food from an ethnicity other than their own.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

Yes! Thai curry!

TJBM had foreign cuisine for their last meal.

Strauss's avatar

If you count home made pizza and calzone, but I think that’s pretty much American with Italian roots.

TJBM is confused about local cuisine vs _local cuisine with ethnic roots.

Coloma's avatar

No, but our local Thai place is a big hit…called ” Pho King Good”. lol

TJBM likes Thai food.

Here2_4's avatar

No, too spicy for me, but Pho King Good, That IS Pho King Good, ha ha
TJBM enjoys encounters with business humor.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Depends on the kimd of business.
TJBM wil show me the photo of Pho King Good so that I can locate it here.

Seek's avatar

Hmmm, maybe someone else can help with that, but I do remember some years ago seeing a photo of a very pretty building on the cover of Architectural Digest magazine. The bottom floor was taken up by Fu King Chinese Food.

And I laughed and laughed….

TJBM has seen unintentional business humor (like the former Pat R. Cox Injury Law firm, now Patrick Cox Attorneys. LOL.)

Coloma's avatar

Haha yes, infact, an attorney I met with yesterday looked and sounded EXACTLY like Adam Sandler. Hilarious and really nice guy.

@Mimishu1995 Here you go! www.yelp.com/biz/pho-king-good-auburn

TJBM believes me now. lol

Brian1946's avatar

“TJBM has seen unintentional business humor” I have. Mark Bloome tires had a neon sign featuring their name. Sometime in the past the light for the second “o” burnt out, so at night it looked like “Mark Blo me tires”. :-)

Coloma's avatar

@Brian1946 LMAO…there is a veterinary clinic in a coastal town here in CA. called ” Anally” pet hospital. haha

Mimishu1995's avatar

@Coloma thanks. Hmm… it doesn’t look like anything here. Guess that is an American brand.
Believe what? The attorney or the Pho King Good?
TJBM likes Pho.

ibstubro's avatar

Depends. Is Ramen faux Pho?
It’s the salt of the Earth!

TJBM would like to say a salty word or two about now.

Strauss's avatar

OK…“Pretzels!”

TJBM has had unsalted pretzels.

Coloma's avatar

Blech! haha

TJBM is staying up late tonight

@Mimishu1995 Believe the name of the restaurant. haha

OpryLeigh's avatar

Bolster than usual, between 11pm and midnight.

TJBM did a big food shop today.

Coloma's avatar

Ugh…I am about to in an hour or so…I hate food shopping and lugging everything in. haha

TJBM hates grocery shopping.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

That’s putting it mildly. I prefer to go at night to avoid crowds and lines, with a list. I can’t grocery shop with people who take hours and have no idea what they’re going for to begin with. Nope.

TJBM has their groceries delivered.

Coloma's avatar

I wish! haha

TJBM made it through their shopping and are happy now.

Brian1946's avatar

Yes, I are happy now.

TJBM am also happy. ;-p

ibstubro's avatar

You had to ask?

TJBM has a cure for the wintertime blues.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes. Keep yourself busy.
TJBM is grumpy because of the weather.

DrasticDreamer's avatar

Nope. Drought five years in a row, last summer was way too long and hot, we need the rain.

TJBM clicked on @ibstubro‘s link and shut it in a millisecond, like me, as soon as they saw it was Barney. :P

Strauss's avatar

After seeing AJAM’s post, I didn’t even bother!

TJBM is sad about something.

Coloma's avatar

Yes. My ex MIL is dying, she has less than 48 hours according to hospice.

TJBM knows a lot of people that have died in the last few years, tis the season.

reijinni's avatar

not personally
TJBM wouldn’t mind watching this channel.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I AM watching that channel, @reijinni. Everyone here is.

TJBM will be in KC this weekend and it might be wild.

reijinni's avatar

nope and trying again messed up the first time
TJBM is sending spoiled food to Oregon.

Coloma's avatar

Haha…no, no I am not.

TJBM hoards food.

ibstubro's avatar

I do. But I’m am equal opportunity hoarder.

TJBM has mistakenly worn their underwear inside out recently.

dxs's avatar

Don’t think so. But I did wear it backwards the other day. The opening is not very practical for use on the other side (I didn’t try it).
The Jelly below me overshares from time to time.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, sometimes, infact, I just did yesterday, kinda sorta.

TJBM is wearing something blue.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes. A shirt with a blue ink dot.
TJBM is dirty.

dxs's avatar

Oh yes.
The Jelly below me did it again. Oops…?

Here2_4's avatar

Nope.
TJBM is trying new things.

Strauss's avatar

Always. That’s what’ll keep me from getting old.

TJBM feels younger than they are.

Coloma's avatar

Haha…not today. A very busy kick ass week and I am soooo tired and sore.

TJBM is going to spend the entire day in their pajamas and do nothing but read, eat and watch movies and rest. perfect here as it is dark and stormy

Mimishu1995's avatar

That will happen at New Year’s Eve.
TJBM is waiting for a holiday.

reijinni's avatar

not really.
TJBM isn’t allowed to wear pyjamas all day.

Here2_4's avatar

Sometimes I do.
TJBM would like to spend a day doing the stuff they did when they were a kid, single digit age.

Seek's avatar

Burying my brother in the back yard and making him eat mud pies? Sounds like a lot of work, but I’m down.

TJBM misses the Oldest Child Right to Torture People.

reijinni's avatar

nope, because it hasn’t gone away.
TJBM has eaten yellow snow.

Strauss's avatar

Only when the snow in question was in a snow-cone and the yellow was a flavored syrup!

♪♫♬Watch out where the huskies go, and don’t you eat that yellow snow… ♪♫♬

TJBM is a fan of obscure tunes.

Coloma's avatar

Somewhat, but more a fan of obscure information in the realm of science, history, etc. I’m a trivial Pursuit type, always on the lookout for some new tidbit of weirdness. haha

TJBM is about to venture out on a bunch of errands they have been procrastinating on.
Gah, groceries, bank, gas station, tire store, soooo boooring but must get done.

reijinni's avatar

not really
TJBM likes to do errands with ice on the roads.

Strauss's avatar

Not really. Usually run errands before an anticipated ice-on-road event.

TJBM has ice on their roads.

Here2_4's avatar

Yes, and on the other roads around mine.
TJBM has ice in their veins.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I do. I’m sick of it!

TJBM likes hot chocolate with a splash of Baily’s on cold days like this.

Seek's avatar

Define “splash”? I’d take a tidal wave, if you have it. And it’s not even cold outside.

TJBM might be mixing some Devil’s Cut into her hot tea today.

Strauss's avatar

If I were a “her”, it might be so. I’m definitely having a hot toddy tonight! With a shot or two of Barterhouse!

TJBM likes a hot toddy for a cold.

Mimishu1995's avatar

You mean toddy coffee? Go ask my parents if they will let me drink that when I’m sick.
TJBM is checking on other jellies lately.

reijinni's avatar

nope
TJBM likes it when they close down a place AFTER they arrive.

Coloma's avatar

Meh..I’m a go with the flow type, I get over minor frustrations quickly.
TJBM is not feeling well today.

Strauss's avatar

Been under the weather all week. Today’s the first day in a few that I feel like catching up with everything I put off because I was sick.

TJBM is concerned about the storm in the eastern part of the US.

Coloma's avatar

I haven’t followed what’s going on, pretty stormy here right now. Just had thunder shake the house.

TJNM wishes they were an Oscar Meyer Wiener.

Here2_4's avatar

No. I’m a Pepper.
TJBM has a first name, and it’s O*S*C*A*R.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’d tell you, but then I’d had to kill you.
TJBM has committed cyber murder.

Coloma's avatar

Haha….yep, I have given the axe to a few.

TJBM has been committed.

Strauss's avatar

Yep!

TJBM hasn’t made a commitment.

Here2_4's avatar

Ugh, more than I can count.
TJBM needs to remove their socks to count over ten.

Seek's avatar

That’s not far from the truth. I’m dyscalculic and transpose numbers in my head all the time. I got a Google Voice phone number so I could make it spell a word, so I wouldn’t keep forgetting the number. My seven year old is my math fact-checking device. “Ian, what’s thirty seven minutes fifteen?”

TJBM has a learning disability

Coloma's avatar

Nothing ever diagnosed but I was rather ADHD in my younger years, then again, being an ENTP personality type I have read that we can be labelled ADHD or ADD simply because as intuitives we are all over the map in our thought processes and easily excited about the next future possibility. We don’t pay attention to minute details often.

TJBM is a fan of personality theory and has found many truths in such.

Dutchess_III's avatar

What is a personality theory?

TJBM wonders what a personality theory is.

Here2_4's avatar

Nah. I wonder how peekaboo jumping spiders got flirt paddles to grow on their feet.
TJBM has attacked someone who tried to flirt with them.

Strauss's avatar

No, but when I was much younger I was on the receiving end of such an attack.

TJBM was recently reminded of something that happened when they were much younger.

Here2_4's avatar

Yes. I saw a recipe for snow ice cream, and remembered a day of deep, fresh snow, nothing to do, and Mom made some. We got out all the flavor extracts and food coloring, and had a blast.
TJBM would like to feel fun about the snow again.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Somebody take me to a snowy country please!
TJBM prefers rain.

Strauss's avatar

It doesn’t matter to me whether it’s rain or snow—it’s all moisture for my garden.

@mimishu1995 I’m sure that many jellies (myself included) would be delighted to show you the snowier parts of North America!

TJBM would love to show Mimi the snow!

Here2_4's avatar

Sure! Come enjoy snow!
TJBM would like to share something from their life with someone from another environment/culture.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I would.

TJBM can’t think of anything exotic enough in Kansas that would interest some one from another culture. The world’s biggest ball or twine, or the world’s deepest hand dug well, perhaps?

Here2_4's avatar

Stuff doesn’t have to be exotic. Some would like to see Kansas, because Dorothy blew to Oz from there. There are bison, and many folks have never seen those. Kansas is a major segment of the great plains. People who like old cowboy movies, or want to see where many native tribes thrived would enjoy Kansas for simply the view.
TJBM would like to visit Kansas.

dxs's avatar

No
The Jelly below me gives people death glares.

Strauss's avatar

I’ve been accused of that, but it is just the way I look!

TJBM is familiar with Dumb Ways to Die

Here2_4's avatar

I knew a few, but the video campaign is new to me. Thanks for the giggles!
TJBM has giggles to show us.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Too bad Fluther can’t record sounds.
TJBM giggles.

Coloma's avatar

Sometimes. :-p

TJBM is a pin head.

dxs's avatar

Who you callin’ pinhead?
The Jelly below me is a nomad.

Strauss's avatar

Yes, formerly.

TJBM has been in a group.

Here2_4's avatar

Yep.
TJBM knows the score.

Mimishu1995's avatar

This?
TJBM is in the mood.

ibstubro's avatar

Always

TJBM plays a musical instrument well.

Here2_4's avatar

Only if we can count my stereo.
TJBM has a new skill to brag about.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, how to successfully avoid a hyper-opinionated and domineering person, by giving them absolutely nothing to voice their unsolicited opinion on. lol

TJBM has had a kidney stone.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nope.

TJBM received some of the best news ever yesterday.

Here2_4's avatar

No, but I did get some pretty good news a couple of times this week.
TJBM is good at skipping stones.

Strauss's avatar

I once skipped a stone 17 times to the other side of the river. Although I could never consistently do that well

TJBM has performed a remarkable feat they could never repeat.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Lots of times, actually. The one that comes to mind was the first time I ever went snow skiing. If you’re on my fb you read the story. Long story short, first time on skis, first time down the mountain, I was flying and had no idea how to stop or turn. I was running straight for a ski rack at the bottom, doing about 90 (at least, it FELT like 90.) I was desperate and my body just took over. It slammed me to the left so I was perpendicular to the rack, then the left edges of my ski’s dug in. The skis were shuddering and I was sending up a rooster plume like mad. I know I looked like a pro. I could feel it. And I got stopped, about 3 feel from the rack. If I skied more I’m sure I could have repeated it, only on purpose, but I never had the chance to go other than those couple of days, and had no reason to do it again cuz I learned how to stop before I went up again!

TJBM wants a burrito now.

OpryLeigh's avatar

Yes!

TJBM has recently booked an exciting trip.

Coloma's avatar

Oh how I wish…but no.

TJBM is trying to drop some extra poundage.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, yeah. It’s not hard.

TJBM doesn’t have a candy stash, but wishes she or he did at the moment.

Here2_4's avatar

I don’t, and yes.
TJBM has a candy stash, but won’t share.

Dutchess_III's avatar

If I had a candy stash I would give ALL of those calories to the first person who asked for some! All of it.

TJBM wants my candy stash.

Coloma's avatar

I do not! I am dieting and it is hell. lol

TJBM is dieting.

Mimishu1995's avatar

You want me to become a skeleton?
TJBM is getting as much fat as they can.

Here2_4's avatar

Well, no, but I am not stressing about it either.
TJBM has had a secret admirer.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Uhm… if it’s a ”secret admirer” can I even know?
TJBM wishes they had an admirer.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, a very wealthy one. haha

TJBM loves fresh mandarin oranges.

Here2_4's avatar

Yes I do! MMMMMMMMMM
TJBM thinks they are turning Japanese.
Let’s congratulate @Mimishu1995

Seek's avatar

My weeaboo days are long behind me.

TJBM sometimes wishes they had been born in a different country.

Coloma's avatar

More like a different century. Just not during the black plague. haha

TJBM is becoming more and more of a hermit.

Dutchess_III's avatar

M, I’ve always been a hermit, and I like it that way.

TJBM woke up feeling like it was Christmas day.

Coloma's avatar

Haha…no, I woke up feeling like I had to hustle as I had about one hour to get packed and leave for a weekend house/pet sitting gig. I’ve been running amok since 6 a.m.

TJBM is expecting stormy weather this weekend.

Strauss's avatar

Probably not until Monday night-Tuesday morning. But it might be a doozy!

TJBM likes a doozy.

Here2_4's avatar

I must confess, sometimes I do enjoy a doozy.
TJBM is ready to make a confession.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, I confess to secretly hating someone I know but I am polite and cordial, they have no idea how much I really dislike their obnoxious, domineering and know it all personality. One of those types that doesn’t listen, can’t hear you and relates everything you say back about themselves. Gah!

TJBM thinks all highly difficult personalities should be banned from society. lol

Seek's avatar

As a fellow NT, you can appreciate my fantasies of an island to which I might exile those who annoy me.

TJBM knows it might be easier to exile myself.

CynthiaFulcanelli's avatar

SEMI-FALSE This is an understatement. This Jelly knows everything.
TJBM secretly adores Miley Cyrus!

Strauss's avatar

False! I’m old enough to be her grandpa!

TJBM laughed today.

Coloma's avatar

@Seek Lordy…let’s build our island of exile. haha

Yes, Just now at @Seek‘s comment.

TJBM wants some candy.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Sure. But I may not eat them. They will go to this instead.
TJBM knows what that thing is.

Seek's avatar

A gift for me? Please say yes.

TJBM also has an unnatural affection for Ferrero Rocher.

reijinni's avatar

nope
TJBM washes their hair in gasoline.

Strauss's avatar

No, but the practice is not unheard of. I remember a news story about people who did that and caught their heads on fire.

TJBM remembers something catastrophic.

Here2_4's avatar

Jim Jones. I was a kid, and it made a real deep impression on me.
TJBM chooses their favorite Kool Aid by color, not by flavor.

Coloma's avatar

I don’t drink Kool Aide but it would the red stuff, I hate grape flavored anything, tastes like Dimetap elixir. lol

TJBM is experiencing a dark and stormy day.

Strauss's avatar

Not experiencing yet, but anticipating, tomorrow or the next day.
The weather system affecting TJAM is moving in my direction!

TJBM is loooking foorward too the “Groundhog Day Event”:;http://www.wunderground.com/news/potential-groundhog-day-storm-2016

Mimishu1995's avatar

I thought it was just a movie.
@Seek well that thing is a candy tray. People usually use it at New Year’s Eve as food for vistors. So if you come to my house around this time it will be your gift, technically
TJBM is refreshing.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, I just got out of a nice shower and am all cozy in my jammies by the fireplace.

TJBM is sitting near a fire right now.

Strauss's avatar

No fire here today. Maybe Tuesday, when there’s a 6” snowfall forecast.

TJBM has a lot of snow in their forecast.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nope. 65 today. But then it’s going to get cold.

TJBM found long lost family recently.

Coloma's avatar

Nope, they are all dead except for myself and my daughter. The long line of only children is dwindling. haha

TJBM loves strawberries!

Strauss's avatar

Yep. When my strawberries are ripe I can’t keep ‘em long enough to freeze ‘em.

TJBM has something that they would like to freeze.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes. Ice cream!
TJBM loves strawberries and ice cream.

Coloma's avatar

Oooh yes!

TJBM loves blackberries and vanilla yogurt.

reijinni's avatar

not really
TJBM is shopping at ALDI.

Strauss's avatar

Your really don’t want to know what I’m doing…

TJBM is doing something they don’t want to share.

Coloma's avatar

No, nothing secretive going on here.

TJBM is waking up with Folgers in their cup.

Seek's avatar

Never.

The caffeine count today has been (so far) one mug of green tea, one mug of black coffee (New England Coffee, hazelnut blend), one Starbuck’s frappuccino bottle thing, and now a diet Dr. Pepper.

I’ll probably brew another pot of coffee for lunch. I haven’t been sleeping well, and I need to get some work done. The Renaissance Festival starts on Saturday and I need inventory.

TJBM loves the smell of sawdust in the morning.

Here2_4's avatar

Yes!
TJBM saw dust this morning.

Coloma's avatar

There is always dust in these here hills, well…now that it’s been raining a lot no, but, the horse barn and duck barn are always dusty. haha

TJBM likes outdoor chores.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Outdoor or not, that’s still a “chore”. Enough said.
TJBM is waiting for some help.

Coloma's avatar

I am waiting for an answer to a big question.

TJBM is waiting for an answer to a question.

dxs's avatar

Always.
The Jelly below me likes their coffee black with two ice cubes.

Here2_4's avatar

No.
TJBM has a craving for something salty.

Coloma's avatar

No, it’s morning coffee time for me.

TJBM loves caramel corn.

Strauss's avatar

Especially if it’s my wife’s home made recipe!

TJBM has a favorite home made recipe.

Coloma's avatar

Yes, quite a few, my home made cole slaw last night is one of them. I also make a mean apple/blackberry pie. :-)

TJBM woke to a rainy day.

Strauss's avatar

Snowy.

TJBM is having a PJ day.

Mimishu1995's avatar

“Pipe Jar” day?
TJBM has fun making up words.

Brian1946's avatar

I certaineously do!

TJBM has crossed either the Arctic circle or the equator.

reijinni's avatar

nope
TJBM is planning on watching a game on Sunday.

dxs's avatar

A game of working for 9 hours.
Tomorrow the Jelly below me will drive around town and let the cops chase them around.

Here2_4's avatar

Sounds like good times.
TJBM is looking forward to tomato season.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Yes. There’s going to be a horrible concert around.
TJBM hates amateur concerts.

Strauss's avatar

It depends. If the amateurs are my students I encourage them.

TJBM is concerned about zika.

Coloma's avatar

Haha…I JUST read an article on it. No, not particularly, just one more thing to fear…meh.
TJBM has an electric blanket on their bed.

dxs's avatar

No, I don’t even own a bed anymore.
The Jelly below me has a place to sleep that’s more comfortable than a chair.

Here2_4's avatar

I hate flat mattress sleeping surfaces, always have. I recently purchased an $8 air mattress. I already had a pump, so it was okay for me it came without one. If you have space issues, it can be deflated when not in use.
TJBM prefers a nest for sleeping to a flat surface.

Seek's avatar

No way, José. I love a firm sleeping surface, and would (and have) cheerfully sleep in a pile of hay on a wood pallet over a stack of redundant pillows or (ugh) an air mattress.

TJBM also likes scratchy wool blankets, like my Bankie.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Only for the winter.
TJBM needs blankets all the time.

Coloma's avatar

Only in winter, summers here a very hot.

TJBM is having a peaceful day so far.

Strauss's avatar

So far. I have yet to venture beyond the warm walls of my home. I’ll be doing that in a couple hours, to jam with my music students. Not exactly peaceful, but fully enjoyable.

TJBM knows what it is to cocoon.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes. I do that when it is cold.
TJBM is recovering from the week.

Coloma's avatar

Well….I am relaxing now at one of my house sitting gigs before the evening routine commences in another 2 hours, but my “week” will not be over until March 6. lol
I am duel house and horse sitting every day minus only 3 days starting yesterday and going through March 6. Making wads of cash though. :-D

TJBM has an under the table cash flow.

Dutchess_III's avatar

No. All my secret money is laundered….literally. I just dig it out of the washer or dryer.

TJBM wants me, @Dutchess_III, to start a new TJBM thread, because in all these years she’s never done one!

Coloma's avatar

Sure…go for it Dutchie!
Ready, set, GO…..

TJBM will wait for the new threads link.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Still waiting…
TJBM is getting impatient.

reijinni's avatar

not really
TJBM is bored.

Coloma's avatar

No, I’m hot. Sitting too close to the fire..whew. lol

TJBM hates that @Mimishu1995 is fluthering right when it is their bedtime. Goodnight mimi!

Strauss's avatar

Yeah, I’m off to bed.

TJBM will say “Good night and sweet dreams.”

Coloma's avatar

I will now say ” Good morning and have a great day!” haha

TJBM is feelin’ groovy this morning.

Strauss's avatar

Yep! Feelin’ groovy, just had my Cheerios!

TJBM has an annoyingly accurate memory for old commercial jingles.

Coloma's avatar

Haha..yes, .. oooh I’d love to be an Oscar Meyer wieeeeener…...

TJBM is old enough to remember 60’s television shows.

Here2_4's avatar

Oh, Rob…with whining. Lucy, you gonna learn to budget your ‘llowance, and that’s final! Rowdy, you ride on ahead, see if that river is low enough to cross. BAM! POW! THWACK! KAPOWIE! Holy ziplock, Batman, how do we get outta these bags?
TJBM is soaking in it.

reijinni's avatar

no
TJBM wishes that MLB and NFL did relegation.

Coloma's avatar

I’m not a sports type, sooo, I have no idea what that means.

TJBM is craving mexican food!

Mimishu1995's avatar

I’m not that good at eating spicy food so…
TJBM wants a cook.

Strauss's avatar

I’m for hire if the price is right.

TJBM will do almost anything if the price is right.

Here2_4's avatar

Ew! No.
TJBM is a square dancer.

Seek's avatar

When the opportunity strikes, definitely! I also enjoy Medieval and Civil War era dances.

TJBM knows the difference between a jig and a reel.

Strauss's avatar

Yeah. A jig is something woodworkers and carpenters use. A reel is something for a long electrical extension or a hose. :P

TJBM likes to play with words.

Coloma's avatar

I do, I like to invent my own words for things, like “procrastatrash”, my hatred of taking out the trash. lol

TJBM has lots of nicknames for their pets.

Strauss's avatar

Her real name is Chipmunk, but we call her Chip, Chipper, Chip Ahoy, Chip-a-doodle, Ms. Fuzzy-butt, Sweet Baby, to name just a few.

TJBM will be attending a Super Bowl party today.

Coloma's avatar

False. Relaxing at one of my house/pet sitting jobs right now, sitting in the sun on the patio and waiting for my clients to arrive home this evening.

TJBM is enjoying spring like weather today.

reijinni's avatar

that is a joke.
TJBM is preparing for snow.

Mimishu1995's avatar

If there was any snow.
TJBM is looking for help.

Here2_4's avatar

Nah, I’m just watching after game coverage of the Superbowl.
TJBM has a favorite player on both teams.

Coloma's avatar

No, I am not a sports fan at all.

TJBM goes to the rubber ducky races.

Here2_4's avatar

Awwwwwww, those are fun!
TJBM has a rubber ducky.

dxs's avatar

Yep. It’s looking at me right now from atop my library shelf. It holds a very interesting story. It brings back memories to my senior year high school Spanish conversation class. My teacher had about 5 rubber ducks in her classroom lined up above her board. Each had a different look (one looked like a cowboy, one was dressed like a pilot, one was green and had an antenna like an alien, etc…) I don’t know why she had them, or if they just belonged to the classroom, but they just sat there.

One day, I found them scattered around the room. So, I decided to scatter them in other places. When I came back, they had moved again! We kept doing this and eventually we put them in more difficult places each time, so it evolved into more of a duck hunt, if you know what I mean. In his classroom, my physics teacher had a sheriff-dressed duck (it had a vest and a star pin). I asked him what he used it for and said it had been in the room when he got here. Then he let me have it, and I made it part of the mix. This sheriff duck became the hardest one to find. Sometimes it’d be days before I found it. My teacher would sometimes have to give me hints.

I knew my friend was in the same class but a couple periods after me, and I asked him about the ducks. Turns out, he was the one who was moving them. I did have a hunch it was him, but it was interesting to find out that we were playing hide and seek all this time without even knowing it. Towards the end of the year I crashed his class and came forth about the whole situation. We watched a movie and I played cards in the back with the person that I was hiding the ducks with. I had the teacher sign the bottom my sheriff duck, and that’s the one that’s looking back at me today from atop my library shelf.

We didn’t do much else in that class.

The Jelly below me likes TJBM game because it draws out stories from seemingly simple things.

Mimishu1995's avatar

True. I also love TJBM game as a place for emotion expression.
TJBM thinks all the events around them are just signs of a great evolution inside them that’s what I’m thinking is happening to me right now. Everything seems to get me ready for a new, refreshed me.

Here2_4's avatar

Wow, @dxs , that is quite a story. How fun!
.
All events? No, but certainly some.
TJBM is introspective, and finds clutter they need to toss out.

Strauss's avatar

Not always introspective, but I have my moments.

TJBM has noticed that Lunar New Year, Mardi Gras and Super Bowl celebrations are all close to the same time this year.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes. I have noticed that. Pretty sure it’s all Debil Worship.

ALL TJAM would like to go to TJBM #66 Thank you for your patience!

Coloma's avatar

Going, going…Gone!

dxs's avatar

I think we should keep with the tradition of 500. There’ll be a whole lot of these if not.

Mimishu1995's avatar

TJBM is torn between this thread and the #66 thread.

dxs's avatar

Yes. We cut this one’s life too soon.
The Jelly below me thinks we should give this one a little more time.

Strauss's avatar

But we can still keep it hanging on!

TJBM will keep me hangin’ on.

Here2_4's avatar

I may.
TJBM will get

Strauss's avatar

Set me free, why don’tcha, babe!

TJBM is on both TJBM threads.

Coloma's avatar

Now I am. lol

Here2_4's avatar

what I did here.

dxs's avatar

I’m not.
The Jelly below me knows someone who was in the military.

Mimishu1995's avatar

My old military teacher—damn the military camp—
TJBM is watching the number of responses closely.

Strauss's avatar

Meh, not so much.

TJBM is cooking something.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Nope. Going to have someone cook something FOR me. It’s off to Wichita I go!

TJBM is excited about something.

ibstubro's avatar

Not one single damned thing I can think of.

TJBM is depressed now.

Strauss's avatar

No, depression is not anything I experience on a regular basis.

TJBM usually manages to avoid something unpleasant.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Unpleasant things happen all the time. What’s left is the attitude. And I guess I can usually keep my head high.
TJBM wants to help someone who is depressed.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

Sure, but they may not like my answer to depression (not clinical depression)

TJBM is about to go on a ski trip.

CynthiaFulcanelli's avatar

I actually went a few weeks ago :D
TJBM loves to dance naked while nobody watches!

MollyMcGuire's avatar

Yes. I’ve done it a couple of times when someone was watching. ;)

TJBM would enjoy a bowl of the potato soup I made tonight; man is it good!!

Strauss's avatar

When and where?!?

TJBM sometimes has fantasies about meeting other jellies in person.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

@Yetanotheruser…....my husband and I have a lot of fun. :) I have met several people who used to come to Fluther. I am still in contact regularly with one of them.

TJBM has a fire going int he fireplace.

Here2_4's avatar

In a manner of speaking. My furnace is running.
TJBM knows someone they would like to haunt, if they should become a ghost. Details, please.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I have my fair share of people I would like to haunt. They treat me so badly that I have a feeling they would dance on my grave if I died. I managed to cut some of them off, but not others. I guess most of them will already be dead by the time I become a ghost, so I’ll just go with anyone who is still alive.
TJBM believes in ghosts.

Strauss's avatar

Yes. I actually do something like an exorcism. Don’t tell anybody!

TJBM will share a secret.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

Not today

TJBM will not have an avatar nearly as creepy as @Yetanotheruser ;)

Strauss's avatar

@MollyMcGuire I see you winking back at my winking avatar! LOL! It’s actually a mug made as a caricature of my father. Ya want I should find something creepier?

TJBM thinks we should have a “creepiest avatar” contest.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

Yes….....that would be fun and I would come in last. :)

TJBM has lived in a country other than the USA.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I have never been to America.
TJBM has never travelled to a foreign country.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

On the contrary, I have been in many other countries.

TJBM is craving something sweet at the moment.

Strauss's avatar

Yes! Augmented chocolate brownies!

TJBM knows about “augmented” brownies.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

Not from experience but I can imagine your meaning here.

TJBM has had sand on his or her feet this week.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Which reminds me… I haven’t been to the beach for years.
TJBM is surprised that this thread hasn’t ended yet.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

I’m not.

TJBM has trouble not buying a certain product every time he or she goes to the store, even if he knows he doesn’t need any at that time. I am like this about soap. I have a cabinet full.

ibstubro's avatar

Sale fresh fruit. It’s so cheap! So good for you!
Yeah, and you can only eat SO MUCH!

TJBM answers any number that calls their phone.

Seek's avatar

For the last month or so, yes. But only because it’s a new number, and apparently whoever had it last had a TON of debt collectors after her.

Most of my phone calls consist of:

“Hello? .... No, I have red hair but I’m not the Ginger you’re looking for. Please take my number off your calling list.”

TJBM hates answering the phone.

Strauss's avatar

Especially if I don’t recognize the caller ID.

TJBM is surprised this thread has revived!

Mimishu1995's avatar

Finally! I’m waiting for so long!
TJBM will play more.

ibstubro's avatar

Nope. I’m done. I’ll never post here again. As a matter of fact, I’m not even here now! ~~

TJBM can now make us laugh really hard.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Sure. Let me fetch my giant feather first.
TJBM knows what I mean.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

I do not, and perhaps we should leave it that way.

TJBM has, in his or her lifetime, owned a dress hat that today is considered old fashioned.

Strauss's avatar

I once owned a (faux) leopard-skinned pillbox hat

TJBM knows what TJAM TJAM means.

Mimishu1995's avatar

I mean this.
TJBM knows several ways to make people laugh.

ibstubro's avatar

TJAM didn’t respond to TJAT.
!TIHS

TJBM is easily distracted.

Strauss's avatar

Yes. It’s called Fluther.

TJBM knows TJAM (TJAM didn’t respond to TJAT.) was incorrect because TJAT (I mean this) was referring toTJAH (TJBM knows what TJAM TJAM means.) when I was really referring to what TJATJA that…

TJBM will “never mind…”

Mimishu1995's avatar

Never mind.
TJBM never minds that this game continues.

dxs's avatar

Not until 19 responses from now.
The Jelly below me hates “doctoral speak”.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

I’m not sure what you mean by doctoral speak.

TJBM will tell me what it means.

dxs's avatar

Meaning essays that are written by people with Ph. D.s. They use very complicated words that most people don’t know, and have really long sentences with a ton of commas. It’s the opposite of Abraham Lincoln-speak.
The Jelly below me knows what I’m talking about.

Mimishu1995's avatar

For someone who is still being tortured by school, yeah.
TJBM never misses school.

Strauss's avatar

I sometimes miss, but I’m one of two teachers for the class.

TJBM has had a good dream recently.

ibstubro's avatar

Unfortunately, I have not had a good dream that I remember.

TJBM has had a good dream they would like to relate.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

I don’t remember dreams normally. I haven’t remembered one in a while.

TJBM has been injured either sleep walking or walking during the night in the dark while too sleepy.

Mimishu1995's avatar

Or injured walking in the day after waking up?
TJBM has a hilarious accident story.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

I do.

TJBM is a planner but his or her spouse is all about spontaneous activity.

ibstubro's avatar

Yes, that tends to be true, and it is very annoying.

TJBM is sometimes sleepless in the wee hours of the morning.

MollyMcGuire's avatar

Not usually.

TJBM has a funny story to tell about learning to swim.
