Is it possible to have plastic surgery on one's face with good results?

Or are people going to look like stretched Saran Wrap every time?

I think there are some minor cases where it’s not horrible. However it seems not guarantee-able by expense, from all the celebrities who we know probably spent huge amounts and came out conspicuous. Someone mentioned a person I know who they say had something done, and I hadn’t noticed, but I also wasn’t really studying their appearance.

Of course.

The good results are the ones you don’t recognize as attributable to cosmetic surgery.

“Stretched Saran wrap.”

The proper term is “Bloomingdales Frankenstien.”

Plastic surgery is excellent these days, so good that you probably see it often and don’t realize that it’s plastic surgery. The quality of the results depends on many factors, but with enough money, you can get exceptional results (assuming you don’t try to repeatedly rearrange your entire face/body.)

Probably—but if you notice how good it is, it’s probably not good enough.

So many people have had “work” done but they don’t say anything, so unless it’s extreme or you see them often, you’d never know or notice. The most common procedure, from what I hear, is having your neck done. If you notice, you’ll never see older women celebrities with skin hanging from their necks. Even the mother on Everybody Loves Raymond who just died recently and was in her 90’s had a pretty tight neck for someone her age.

Once in a while I will see someone in my area (an affluent area) who has had extensive surgery and you will see a tiny nose, tight and bony cheeks and just a pulled appearance. Those are few and far between. The majority of people get little “tweaks” that you’d probably not ever notice.

There are good surgeons out there who do wonderful minor tweaks.

I always think it’s good if your first look at someone’s face doesn’t make you immediately check their hands to see how old they really are.

^ The hands.

A very good tell.

Seriously.
Did you all look at the link with the current picture of Raquel Welch at 73/5?
Yeah, her hands might be a little ropey, but she could pass for her granddaughter’s sister – if the granddaughter’s still hot.
The face close-up is incredible (not credible) and yet is a verifiable news photo.

For decades Cher was the poster gramma for ‘ageless’ (plastic surgery), but I checked and she’s looking – appropriately – like an AARP gold-card carrier.

I have a good friend who, when she was about 30, lost over 100 lbs (on her own) and had a sagging stomach. She’d also had a big double chin and so that didn’t go away when she lost the weight. She got her stomach done and the plastic surgeon also took away the neck fat and gave her a chin implant. Before that, I’d never heard of a chin implant. The plastic surgeon said my friend had a weak chin, which I didn’t think was the case but my friend got the chin implant and looked really good. Her whole midsection looked tight, too.
