Can I have Edge active on my iPhone without having the iPhone as my cell phone?

I do not like the iPhone as a phone, but love Edge and Google Maps.

Not that I know of. They did plan on offering a data only plan for 28$ per month but they yanked it.

I would love to be proven wrong about this. If they do have a data only plan I would buy one in the morning. I don’t need the phone part.

EDGE is AT&T’s data network, so there’s no way to access it without an active AT&T phone.
