Correction from previous: If you pull up a email on your laptop with a photo attachment, and then erase the email. Will the photo still be in your Internet cache?

What operating system? How did you view the attachment?

Generally speaking, the answer is yes, but there are exceptions.

if you know what type of file it is…jpg, gif, png, etc…then you could do a search for it with *.jpg, *.gif, or whatever type it is. if this is in windows, make sure that you tell it to search for hidden files under the advanced search options….
