How can I obtain toned arms and a flat stomach quickly?

Asked by t3qn0loqiiic (57points) June 9th, 2011

So, I want to lose weight- so I’m 15 and I weigh around 71 Kgs and I’m 178 cm in height – so I’m not overweight. I am not very fat, but I’d like a tight stomach and toned arms because they’re flabby .

I’ve lost a lot of weight lately- but over a long period of time- now, I do around 40–50 sit ups for day for the stomach and just started doing the simple push ups- What exercises should I do to be able to obtain amazing results within a short-ish period of time.
Thank you for all your help ♥

~Oh yeah: I do watch what I eat btw- so please do not try and advise me about healthy eating :D

I like these abdominal exercises, especially the planks. For arms, you’re going to need to do some weight training. If you can go to a gym, use the tricep, bicep, and row machines for the quickest visible results. If you cannot go to a gym, look into buying some dumbbells that you can use and try exercising the same muscle groups. You should be able to find good exercises through Google.

I can’t push healthy eating enough, so I just want to reiterate: eat very little fat. Try and consume no more than 1 gram of carbohydrates for every pound of bodyweight, and shoot for less. Consume lots of protein and eat your vegetables. Don’t eat too much fruit.

As for exercises, you’re on the right track but you could be doing more. Search the web for exercise programs. If you’re only doing bodyweight exercises, I would suggest you work out for between 25 and 40 minutes every day. You can do pyramids, like

15 jumping jacks, 15 push-ups, 15 crunches
14 jumping jacks, 14 push-ups, 14 crunches
13…
12…
etc…

With no rests; those are good. I also recommend strength training with weights, if you have access. Running is also good, but hiking, if there’s mountains nearby, really beats all.

There are so many things and plans you can follow.
Nutrition and healthy activities and rest are key.
Find a personal trainer if you can.
Otherwise, read all you can about proper nutrition, caloric intake, and proper servings and timing.
Find activities that you like that burns calories and tones. You will not be able to do it quickly. It took you however many years or months to be who you are. It is going to take patience, dedication and time.
Make sure you talk to you Dr about whatever you do.
Good Luck

Exercise more often and spend more time exercising.

[ the programs or the so called medicine that helps you build your body fast does a lot of damage to your overall health Do not try or use them ]

It all gets down to nutrition and exercise.
If you want a simple and well organized (although repetitive ) exercise program, check out Power 90, the precursor to (the phenomenal) P90 X.
http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/power90.do
It is well worth the $60 or so. Follow it pretty closely for 90 days and you will be in very good shape.
