How to control static in my hair?

Asked by AshlynM (10684points) June 27th, 2011

I’ve tried wetting my brush, but that only works temporarily.

Any other ways to keep static out of hair?

You can try a bit of shine in a bottle stuff. Most brands at Sally Beauty have some.

Run a dryer sheet over your hair. (I’m not joking.)

I spray the leave in conditioner on my brush and then brush my hair a few times a day.

I also was going to suggest conditioner.

Leave in conditioner helps. If you are away from home you can rub a tiny bit of hand lotion on your hands and then smooth that over your hair. It will tame it down. Don’t use too much or you will flatten your hair.

Dryer sheets work, leave-in conditioner works. I used to condition my hair twice – that worked too.

Freshly removed ice works too. But only on hair that isn’t frizzy.

@ANef_is_Enuf is right, it works like a charm! And they make your hair smell nice, too.
