Let’s also consider that Speed Racer never had to slide down a pole to get dressed for crime fighting. Those extra seconds needed could mean the difference between life and death. Plus it may allow him to show up at the battle sight sooner than the BatMobile, thereby providing Speed with his choice of tactical positioning.
