Do you believe anything Gingrich has to say?

Asked by philosopher (9065points) November 17th, 2011

He is another lying Politician that Represents the Elitist, the Status Quo and not what American needs.
His actions clearly demonstrate that he is like 99% of Congress. He works for himself and the wealthiest at the expense of the working Middle Class.
I am not surprised.
Is he fooling you?
The more I listen to all of them the more I wish we had someone who Represented what is best for the working Middle class but there is No one.

No, he has long been a liar and a cheat. Remember he is the one who shut down the government.

I would believe him if he said: “I started dating my geometry teacher when I was 16, cheated on her and divorced her while she was recovering from uterine cancer. Then I cheated on my second wife and dumped her a day and a half after she learned she had MS so I could nail and marry a foxy staff worker 23 years younger than me. All this while preaching family values.”
Yeah, I’d totally believe him.

“We just tried four years of amateur ignorance and it didn’t work very well. So, having someone who actually knows Washington might be a really good thing.”

To me the core of that message is “Change is hard, so let’s not!” and conveniently the article provides an example of what that message looks like in action.

“Before Gingrich was hired, Freddie Mac paid $2 million to a Republican consulting firm to kill legislation that would have regulated and trimmed both companies. The legislation died… But the danger of regulation wasn’t dead, so Freddie Mac hired more consultants, Gingrich among them. By September 2008 [...] Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were in disastrous financial condition, were both taken over by the government and remain in conservatorship.”

Thanks Newt!

And yeah, I believe all to well that he’ll stick to that statement and message, getting the same disastrous results on an even larger scale.

He’s very intelligent, but totally unprincipled, so, NO. I am hopeful he will be sunk by his past lack of character. It hasn’t changed.

I do not believe anything that comes out of that man’s mouth. If he told me it was a clear day I would have to look out a window to see for myself.

It is amazing that people think Gingrich is intelligent.

Think you meant Libya.

Unless he also flipped on something we were doing in Liberia.

@Qingu
Yes watch the veto. It is funny.
I enjoy laughing and it is good for everyones health.
If I didn’t see it I would not believe it.

I believe very much that Republicans should run him for 2012.
