What was the name of this stuffed animal?

Asked by foxxfur (4points) November 29th, 2011

Can someone help me? It was around the late 80s-early 90s..It was a dog stuffed animal..built via the teddy bear style..*as opposed to the lying down dog looking style) It was greyish, has a nylon-ish belly and when you sqeezed it’s paw it would whimper..does anyone know what they were called? (below is the link of a photo I found of it lol) anyone know where i can buy one again or what they are called?

Welcome to Fluther. I have no idea, but I’m hopeful someone will. People often come up with obscure information.

Ganz Brothers had Teddy Ruxpin (a bear) which looked a lot like your picture and they had a variation with a dog called Wrinkles. Here is an example of one of them. Let me know if this is close or not as it will guide my next guess.

@Kayak8 I had one of those dogs. They were great.

All I remember in the 80’s was the Pound Puppies. They were wildly popular, but they didn’t make any noise.

I doubt the dog even has a name.
