Great shows/movies to watch on Netflix streaming?

Asked by amazingme (1860points) March 5th, 2012

I love Netflix and I have finished watching everything that I originally wanted to watch. So do you have any great suggestions? I love shows like Lost, Doctor Who, Spaced, Kids In The Hall, Portlandia, Glee, Doc Martin, IT Crowd, Torchwood, anything Masterpiece Classic, Sherlock… And the list goes on. I love TV shows more than movies, but suggestions are good for movies, too!

Firefly. Believe me, it’s awesome. It also has a movie called “Serenity” to go along with it.

I watch a lot of Netflix streaming since I no longer have cable television.

Some good stuff I’ve seen lately:

The Walking Dead
Breaking Bad
Gangland
Walking With Dinosaurs
The Office (US version)
How The Universe Works
Walking With Prehistoric Beasts
David Attenborough Wildlife Specials
Ancient Aliens

Because I enjoy scientific documentaries so much, I even watched an anti-evolution, pro-Intelligent Design program for laughs called Incredible Creatures That Defy Evolution.

It was a bit disappointing that it wasn’t a ‘real’ science program, since the title was so intriguing :/

I love all those shows you listed.

Watch Eureka if you haven’t seen it! I had a delightful time watching through that and frequently revisit it. Also Farscape, which I am working on now! And Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis.

@FutureMemory Nice! Same here. We cut off cable TV and doing Netflix and Hulu since this past year. : )
