What was the deal with McCain's barbeque?

Asked by Awww (113points) May 25th, 2008 from iPhone

It was all over the news and the papers yesterday. Can’t they give a guy a brake? Why post it all over the news?

What was the story? I missed it. Did he have the destruction of Israel guy over for ribs and coleslaw?

It was a “breaking news” story, I don’t know what the big deal was because I only caught the last 2 minutes of it, but I saw it in the newspaper and they say he was doing something “suspicious” because almost all the guests at his barbeque were his vice president choices if he becomes president.

I’m not really seeing it. And I just read through three pages off Dailykos to look for it. If it was bad/important they would have posted about it. Gotta link?

It was just his attempt to hump the legs of the reporters.

On a side note, I actually really want barbeque ribs now. I think I’ll actually go out for some tonight.

Those are pretty much the only kind of meat I still crave from time to time.

Delirium is telling a fib. She still misses pastrami.

hahahaha. Oh yes, of course. How could I forget that.

@Awww:Since the mods are wandering, so can I. Why not give the guy an entire car; the part alone won’t get him anywhere?

Well, among other things, Florida’s governor Charlie Crist and several other MacCain VP hopefuls were hanging out there this weekend.

What do you mean by that Gailcalled?

She means that you spelled break like a part on a car in the text below your question.
