Are you being taken for granted ?

Asked by Highbrow (366points) December 20th, 2012

Some people have the tendency to go with the flow and will hardly stand up for what’s wrong in their life.
Do you fall in the same category of being taken for granted ?

In order to be taken for granted, someone has to take you for granted. That means there has to be someone in your life close enough to take you for granted. I don’t really have anyone like that.

I fear that I may be on the taking end of this question. I am trying to make adjustments.

I have been taken for granted and I have also taken for granted. I am probably less likely to do it these days. Either way.

I don’t feel like I am taken for granted too much. There are little things here and there, but I think that typically happens in relationships (parent, child, spouses, friends, etc) to some extent.

For sure. It’s been that way my whole life. Little Miss “Will Always Be There.” Pffth. That’s changing, though!

I don’t feel taken for granted. But I am not always the most stable of people, so that seems to make people grateful when I don’t do unexpected things of an unpleasant sort.
