How do I attach a photo on gmail?

I can do it on my smartphone, but I want to do it on my ipad and I can’t figure it out.

Look for a toolbar at the bottom of the email you’re composing. There’s a little + sign that allows you to open it fully. On the toolbar, you’ll find a button that allows you to attach a photo. Check the Gmail help page if you need more info. Good luck!

In addition to what @Pachyderm_In_The_Room said, it generally works to just copy a photo to the clipboard, then paste it into the body of the email.
