Shaking and weak?

Asked by MapeMorine (10points) September 11th, 2015

Hey Ya’ll! I’m not sure what’s going on, it may not be a big deal, but I just wanted to get a second opinion. I’m in a cold sweat, I can’t stand up without falling because I’m so weak and shaky, and I’m quite dizzy. My heart rate is also through the roof. I do have problems with low blood sugar, but Im not too informed about it and I’m not sure what’s going on….any advice?

What the hell are you doing here? Call your doctor ASAP.

Low blood sugar. Eat something!

NOBODY can diagnose you over the phone. Call 911 or have someone take you to the hospital.

I would eat something and see from there,if it is still happening then I would probably seek medical help as soon as possible.

There is a pretty brutal flu going around…my best advice is to call a friend to take you immediately to the Doc or clinic to get checked out.

You need to see the doctor as soon as possible. Has this been building up? Do you have a fever? It can be a myriad of things, and it sounds serious enough to warrant a trip to the doctor asap. OK? Keep up updated. We worry. We worry because we care.

Those are also the symptoms of a panic attack, and since somatoform and conversion symptoms are indistinguishable from those with physiological origins, there’s no way to know for sure without professional medical advice – and even then, they may not be able to tell.

Drink some orange juice and call the doctor.

It also sounds like a Graves Disease storm… it could be so many things Mape needs to get to the doctor.

Sounds like when I had the swine flu. Have some water, breathe, don’t try to walk around by yourself, and get someone to help you get to a doctor, and/or phone a consulting nurse line.

Get checked for postural hypotension.

Welcome to Fluther.

Assuming you’re still alive, I think the general advice to anyone suffering low blood sugar would be to get informed about that first and foremost. Anything that makes you weak and dizzy and jacks up your pulse rate – and is left untreated – is probably going to continue to make you feel worse until you die. If you’re already dead you can ignore this advice.

Many health insurance plans have a “Call a Nurse” hotline where you can make a (usually toll-free and otherwise free to you) call to describe such symptoms to a professional who is qualified to make diagnoses, or at least to ask additional questions to help a doctor do that later – or to guide the Medical Examiner to determine a proper cause of death when that’s more appropriate. That person’s advice would probably the the same as @filmfann.‘s

Have a glass of fruit juice and make an appointment with your doctor. In the meantime, learn a little bit about a condition that you already know that you have.

That could even be a goddamn heart attack. Hope you went o the ER as a precaution. It could also be simple anxiety, low blood sugar + about anything else.

Love it @CWOTUS

Would be interesting to know though.

Are you:

1. In hospital?
2. On the other side
3. Taking us all for a ride?

A sign of life please!
