Not here in the heart of Texas it isn’t.

Not where I live, but I work with a number of people who immigrated to the U.S. from Asian countries, including India. We went out to lunch at an Asian restaurant in honor of the holiday.

We have a large Indian population in New Jersey with many Hindu organizations so I am sure it is being celebrated here but there is no obvious commercial indication of this. There is a large commercial Indian area about 45 minutes from me so there may be more signs of it there.

One of the best things about living in New Jersey is the diversity of its population.

^ I work in Lawrenceville. One sign of the diversity is the number of nearby Asian restaurants

Yes. Of course it is. There’s a large public celebration in the city centre.
