Do you have any plans to make any changes in your lifestyle in 2018?

Asked by Kardamom (33292points) December 31st, 2017

I don’t like to use the word “resolution.” I think that just cries out for failure. It sounds like some big authority figure is waving their finger at you and you really don’t want to do this thing, but you try to do it, out of fear. Then you fail.

What I want to know is if any of you actually plan to make any positive changes in your life, and how you are going to go about it.

I think just saying something like, “I want to lose weight” or “I want to eat more healthy” is too general and has no real meaning. I would like to hear your actual step by step plans.

Oh yeah, Happy New Year, Flutherites : )

No. I intend to go on being the person I am; warts and all.

We are moving out of corrupt Illinois to better our lives. This will take a lot of work.

I am also going to go back to school (online) while our youngest is being homeschooled until we move. These are huge changes for our family. It won’t be easy but I welcome the challenge.

I want to stop making excuses. The past few years I’ve been blaming it on my anxiety and OCD that I can’t get a job. But deep down I know that I’m capable of holding a job.

I had some real disappointments this year in both friends and family. Am trying not to count on those people emotionally and to nurture myself more. I will continue to enjoy time with the people I can trust and be myself with. (Oh – and that cholesterol thing, maybe.)

Nah. I don’t really care I’m gonna die anyway. If I cant enjoy myself while I’m here, then what’s the point?
