Anyone take homeopathic medicine such as Kali Phos?

Asked by MooCows (3216points) April 27th, 2018

I know some people ONLY take homeopathic medicine
and nothing prescribed by a Dr. I am curious about it
and how it actually works. Was thinking about trying some
I saw on Amazon. Thanks.

I have NO faith in doctors except that they’ll kill you faster than if you ride out the illness. I do a lot of research on all natural ways to treat what ails me. The one thing that I’ve noticed is that anytime something all natural becomes a fad that the pharma companies immediately jump on the band wagon to make it bigger & better. Anything they can’t control, they get it banned by the FDA. I’m using a lot of essential oils but I make sure to only use the old tried & true oils & NOT the hybrids that has been invented with the current fad. Inhaling Peppermint Oil is great for getting rid of headaches & migraines . NO need to ingest…simply breathe it in. I have one friend who swears that it also helped with her anxiety & depression. During Flu season, I make my own version of the Thieves blend & keep it in a locket around my neck. Anytime somebody near me coughs or sneezes, I take a good deep inhale of Thieves. I made it through this past Winter without catching the Flu.

My Chiropractor recommended using zinc supplements for colds & to help ward off the Flu. I have found the zinc to help combat colds but I still prefer the Thieves blend to keep the Flu at bay.

I’ve recently discovered the miracles of Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy. I’m still doing my research but have started dabbling with the therapy & it has cleared up my allergies & my blood pressure is more stable. Plus I’m feeling 10,000% better!!! I’m still on the fence as to whether it cures every disease known to man but the truth is that we’re all going to die at some point no matter how healthy we are!!! Of course, the benefit of dying healthy is that you won’t need to have a doctor’s assistance!!!

No matter what natural method anybody decides to use, I suggest that they do a LOT of research before diving in!!!

Natural remedies are different from “homeopathic” remedies.
There are some genuine natural remedies but zero homeopathic ones.
Homeopathy is pseudo scientific baloney at best a complete scam at worst.

Homeopathic “medicine” is water. It is diluted so much that you literally may not have a single molecule of the named ingredient in a vial.

This isn’t a secret. The dilution is explained on pro-homeapathy sites. But then they say, literally, that making the solution weaker makes it stronger.

It’s a money-making scam selling water.

There’s a difference between cell salts and homeopathics, although they are sold in the same location in a health food store and people tend to equate them as the same thing. I have used both. Your Kali Phos is #6 on the cell salts list.

I used ippecac and nux vomica (both homeopathics) on a small puppy that had parvovirus. The doc had taken him for a day, and then handed him off to me saying, “I don’t think he’ll make it, but I’ve done everything I could.”

I figured my alternative remedies wouldn’t hurt and they might help. Either way, it wouldn’t cost me anything, and the vet said he would likely die anyway.

I gave him those two homeopathics every 15 minutes, with a half teaspoon of water in between, and I did this all night long. By early morning he started to move, and in another hour he was walking. I took him back to the vet that day. The veterinarian was astounded.

The dog lived for 13 more years.

As for myself, I’m taking carbo vegetabilis and natrum muriaticum at preparations and dosages my naturopath has prescribed. I’m satisfied.

I do not take such quack medicines. They have not been scientifically proved to be effective. I do not trust my health to such fakes. The entire idea makes no sense.

@Sim Yaaay for quack medicine! My vet was impressed. I’m glad nobody told my dog he nad no reason to live 13 more years. LOL
