Please provide some background on what you are asking. As written, it doesn’t make much sense.

@zenvelo What are the traditional and non-traditional methods of quantifying progress in life?

@RedDeerGuy1 NT: Happiness, satisfaction, peace.

Traditional: House, bank accts, vacations, car, family status, connections, religious fervor, yes grades.

1. How well you sleep at night.
2. Your blood pressure
3. Your sense of self satisfaction
4. Your feeling of happiness.
5. Your feelings of gratitude.

Houses, cars, money, titles, those are all ephemeral and don’t mean a thing in the long run.

For my ancestors, it was man’s first kill, and woman’s first well, I guess blood was involved for both men and women.

Society has become so infinitely diverse in interests and pursuits, it is quite difficult to know sometimes, how to place oneself.

Could you go alone on the open plain with a knife and a bedroll, and spend a night?

This question can’t really be answered, as it’s going to differ from individual to individual. What do you want from life? Are you happy in life? Where do you want to see yourself 10, 15, 20 years from now?

@Darth_Algar Every thing is working out now with me. I see myself saving money and finishing my bachelor’s degree in psychology and transfering to an University and taking classes in intelligence and personality at the masters level.
I would like to improve the testing of i.q e.q and personality.

@Darth_Algar Also to improve the abilities.

And you’re prepared to put in the many years of hard work required for this?

Ok. Then the first step is enrolling in school. Wait, did you ever get your high school/general education diploma, or not? Your posts have been somewhat confusing and contradictory on this. If not then getting your GED is the first step. Then enrolling in college. Once enrolled speaking to a school guidance councilor is your best bet.

@Darth_Algar I have a high school diploma, just don’t have all the prerequisites to take any further science other than biology. I can however take psychology online or though Red Deer university. I will pay off my credit card by Aug 2020. Then I would be able to save for classes.

Darth_Algar's avatar

What science courses are you wanting to take and what are the prerequsites for those courses?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@Darth_Algar Bio-chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry. Just for fun. I need grade 12 chemistry. I have grade 11. I can save up for the new text books and read on my own time.
