Bond, James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5. It would be MORE fun IF Jimmy was sitting in the back seat as I drive!!!

I think Herbie, the Love Bug for the daily driver. For Date night, something a little more adventurous. Maybe this:

I’d love to take it somewhere and see if the valet could park it.

@LadyMarissa I rode in one over 50 years ago. the driver was in high school with me. At the time he was driving (and insured) the most expensive auto in the USA by someone 18 and under. It made Playboy magazine. Daily driver ‘33 Ford like ZZ-Top’s Billy Gibbons ! :>)

I’m going to be greedy & go for both of these

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@seawulf575- Lol! C’mon get happy
@Tropical_Willie – I didn’t know that he owned that car!
@ucme- Love the color

@ucme I would have sold my soul to be in the back seat of that car with Steve McQueen driving me!!!

A 68’ black Dodge Charger is the coolest thing on four wheels.
That rumble though!

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@ucme – My brother had Chargers. That’s my comment

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@ucme His were early 70’s though.One orange,one brown and one black at different times.He really liked them.
I rarely see them at car shows. I wonder if it’s because they rusted out and completely disappeared? Lol

ucme's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille Yeah they are notorious rust buckets lol
I would pay silly money for a mint condition 68’ though.
Either that or sell my body to the highest bidder :D

I’ve actually already owned some of my favorite style of cars that are now being shown in movies periodically. A 1969 Chevy Malibu, a 1973 Buick Riviera…both great cars. Except for the gas mileage!

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@seawulf575 -I remember you mentioning the Riv. Those cars are outstanding!
There is a show I go to specifically to “visit” that car.
The owner modified it a bit- shaved the door handles & took the center out of the front bumper.I don’t think he needed to do that but that car does lend itself to those ideas, I suppose.
The color is a charcoal pearl with a black interior. It looks menacing.Woof!
The movie I saw the Riviera in was called “Evolution”. I didn’t get through that movie lol
Was that the one you saw it in?

Love_my_doggie's avatar

Any version of the Batmobile.

seawulf575's avatar

Evolution was a great movie and it hurt to watch the riv get rolled. There was also a riv in the movie The Last Boy Scout but that was a 1971. Same basic style though. Mine was red with a white landau roof. 454 cubic inch engine under the hood. Stomp on the gas and the speedometer goes one direction and the gas gauge goes the other!

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@seawulf575 -Lol! Was the interior red as well?
I’d love one in black cherry candy exterior with a black leather interior.
blue-black with a black interior would be nice too

seawulf575's avatar

White leather inside. It was way too much power and luxury for a 19 year old! The 69 chevelle has made appearances in many movies over the years. The movie FASTER with the Rock had a 1971 and 1972 chevelle they made to look like a 1970…same body style as the 69.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@seawulf575 -That had to be a blast! My BIL had 2 Chevelles. He has since sold them.
In this photo, the black car is a friend’s (I cannot remember year/make)He told me it was used as a “transport vehicle” for illegal booze.LOL The blue boat Caddy in the background is mine.

JLeslie's avatar

The kind that drives on its own.

seawulf575's avatar

Nice. Yeah, the Chevelle was the only car I lost my license in. Started flying down the freeway racing a friend. We saw the cop at about the same time. I crossed the finish line (his radar) slowing down but still doing 96 mph. I was 16. And I was walking for another 6 months. Mom and dad were sooooo proud! Not!

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@JLeslie -They scare me Lol
@seawulf575 – 6 months?The citizens were not safe for too long then. Lol

JLeslie's avatar

^^In my opinion there is good reason to be scared actually. They were being tested where I live, I don’t know if they are still driving around.

My husband says I have self driving car. He means he is the chauffeur. Lol.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@JLeslie -Lol
Same here. I don’t mind that he drives at all. ;0
