How long will Chauvin survive in jail?

I hope they put him in a cell with a ten foot black guy who thinks he is pretty.

I imagine, like other high risk prisoners, he’ll be segregated from the majority of the prison population for many years.

He will probably be well protected by both the guards, the resident skinheads, and the resident skinhead guards.

I’m think it will be more like a Jeffrey Epstein outcome.

Right now he’s in Protective Custody. The problem is, where there’s a will, there’s a way, and prisoners have lots of free time to observe things and plan things so they’ll be observing and planning how to get him.

I talked to a detective at work and he predicts suicide for Chauvin.

A long time ago, I asked a correction officer friend who worked at Sing Sing what he would do if he was sent to jail. He said he would assault the biggest guy there, which would get his ass kicked but it would also get him a reputation for being crazy, and hopefully people would leave him alone.

I’m sure Chauvin knows a lot of people are going to be after him.

They will put him in a low security prison, sort of like but not exactly like the one Bernie Madoff was in. And it may not even be in that state! He won’t be a problem prisoner.

Let’s just say it’s a good thing he is comfortable kneeling.

I predict he’ll be disappeared (suicided). Quick solution to high profile, high potential for trouble prisoners. Or develop “cancer”, as in the case of Jon Gotti and earlier, Jack Ruby.

I hope he lives to serve the full duration of his sentence and that he uses that time to reflect on his actions. Maybe after many years, he can return to society and do some good somewhere. I think that would be the best possible outcome at this point.

Maybe he’ll go to solitary for a while to protect him. I would think he’s suicidal.

He was convicted by the state, not the Feds. So he’ll be in a Minnesota prison.

He won’t be in general population. He’ll be in a separate unit for prisoners who are threatened or threatening to other inmates.

He’s lucky. The average inmate gets thrown in with predators. We should think about making life better for them rather than wishing harm on Chauvin.

That’s a really good question! I read he is on “suicide watch” as well as in solitary. Apparently other inmates dislike cops (to put it mildly). I don’t know legally if one can stay in solitary for their entire sentence. This entire case is nothing but sad.
