Sorry I haven’t gotten to the pond in a while.
Long story short, I’ve been very sick.
I was given 4–6 days to live in February ‘21. I’ve obviously beaten that prognosis, and am currently on list, for an organ transplant.
...I have spent months in and out of the ICU over the past year or so. I have survived a living Hell, so far, that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
I have trouble seeing, or typing lately. That’s why I went away.
I know that you have some ties, to the pond, so please, feel free to pass this news along to all other jellies members.
I hope you are doing well and will try to get back involved when I have the abilities.

He’s such a good dude, I wish him the best, too. Hopefully he’ll be back soon.
Oh dear! I am so sorry this is happening to our friend. Please let him know that we are all thinking about him and hope there is something that can be done to ease his pain, and live a little better. I wish I could cook him up a big pot of joy.

@LuckyGuy Got a liver you can donate? I don’t know anything about the process myself. Maybe he can tell us.
I believe they take part of a healthy liver from a living donor.
I’m unaware of any other possible details.
@Patty_Melt I think that re-grows, too. I’ve been saving mine for my bio parents but looks like other things will get them before the alcohol’s effects.

If successful, each liver portion grows, but in size only. It does not regrow the absent other part, so no, it can’t be done twice.

In my life, both in law enforcement, and out. I have beaten the odds too many times to count. If I told you half of the shit I’ve survived, I doubt you would believe it…
I don’t seem bound, even effected, by astonishingly stacked odds, and statistics.

I plan to rely upon my uncanny ability to survive any situation, and my hard head, to fight through this as well…
If not. I’ve already overstayed my life here. I’ll have to let fate decide….

Life gifted me with a second staphylococcus infection plus complications.
It sucked. But. Worked my way through it.
I think I just passed my 1 year diagnosis of 4–6 days to live.

I just got back from the hospital.
Apparently I was found unresponsive in the tub.long story short, I survived. Went through Hell. I pretty much died.Had a feeding tube and lots of shit.
