What performance enhancing drugs are front line infantry prescribed?

I’d go with marijuana; you’ll still get shot but it won’t hurt so much.

I think soldiers would do well not to be caught with contraband drugs.

Amphetamines, more so than you would think.

During WW2, the Nazis supplied uppers (methamphetamines) to their troops.

It was common practice in the US military at least into the 2000s. I would be surprised if that has changed.

January 5, 2006 – U.S. Combat Pilots on Speed – ”...a 20/20 investigation has found, the amphetamines, the speed pills, are now standard issue to U.S. Air Force combat pilots, to help them stay awake on long combat sorties….”
