How can I convert a DVD to a youtube ready file using a Mac?

I received a homemade DVD that I would like to share with family and friends. How can I make it happen? Thanks for your help.

You need to rip it using Handbrake first. If it still too large open it in iMovie and and export it as a web clip. That should get it to a small enough size that youtube will let you upload it.

It is sad that you all couldn’t agree on an answer. The answers were all over the board. LOL!
