I regret to say I almost never go out :( Moving to new places without knowing anyone sucks…

I like going to plays or musical shows in smaller venues. It’s quieter and more personal.

I don’t go out very often for entertainment but when I do, here are some destinations of mine:

Movies – a couple of hours to escape reality

Zoo – I’m a huge animal lover and animals are amazing and beautiful. Being able to see them up close is exhilirating.

City Parks – very calm, relaxing, and enjoyable.

Live comedy is the new live music, for me.

It’s especially cool when young comedians tour with bands; you get the best of both worlds.

Out to eat comfort food- yum
Movies- love to laugh:)

@peedub I agree. We’re going to see Lisa Lapanelli soon. Can’t wait! We never get out.

@jonsblond That’s awesome. You’ll have to tell me about it afterwards. Jim Gaffigan is definitely worth seeing, if you haven’t already.

We go out every Saturday night to eat & have a few drinks. There’s a dance hall near us that has 50’s & 60’s bands every now & then. A group of us go & listen to that good old rock & roll.

We’re not much for going to the movies. We wait until they come out on DVD. It’s cheaper & more comfortable to watch them at home.

Live music, the smaller the group and the smaller the audience the better. There’s nothing like the chemistry between a good musician (or a few good musicians) and an alert, attentive audience that’s into it.

Music is mine.
I am not really married, or have a girlfriend for that matter, but I go by myself to stages outside or inside.

Drinking beer.

@loser: GA. :^> I prefer my beer with live music. Once my fella told me about a plan to go on a short trip and he started listing things we could do there. I actually told him, “You had me at ‘microbrews’.”

Sometimes we go out to eat. Other times, we go out to dine. Both serve a purpose. The latter is entertainment.

Music is my main pass time. I go to a variety of small shows: punk, folk, rock, noise, whatever. A lot of my friends make music, so that works out well.

When the weather is nice, I enjoy going to the park or the beach and drinking beer and hanging out.

I also like cooking, so even though that’s not going out, it’s fun to get together with friends and family and make food and eat together.

@peedub Haven’t seen Gaffigan, though I’d love to. We saw Ron White not that long ago. That was a good show, he had just gotten busted for pot possession in the last town that he had been in. Great story.

@jonsblond – Lisa Lampanelli is so funny…you kids have fun!

I like going out with friends and seeing who is out. If nobody interests me or I get shot down then I like to play darts. The ones at the bar suck so I bring my own. Fit nicely in a coat pocket or something and you don’t look/feel like a tool bringing a huge pool stick. I’ve also noticed that girls that like to play darts are usually way cool and laid back…..although they are rare. I also love stand up comedy. If you live in a city that has live comedy go support it. That is also a great place to take a date because it is a great sign if you can both laugh at the same things or if they get really offended over something you find trivial. I also had a great time when I went to the inner harbor in Baltimore and went to a dueling piano bar. If you have one of these kind of bars in your town go check it out. Those guys had me laughing all night.

@Sooner_Coolkat Thanks, and I love to play darts. We have our own dart board at home. :)

i go to a decent amount of shows. besides the music (that’s a given), the second best part is people watching haha.

Rock show! I like the energy of a rock show, the anticipation when the lights go down and the headliner’s on the way. None of my friends go with me, so I end up being at shows alone and I’m too shy to talk to the people next to me, but I enjoy myself anyway. I’ve never regretted going to a show.

Live music if it’s someone I know personally. Actually it’s the only concerts I go to, if it’s a friend and I have backstage passes or something.
I used to love dancing in discos as a kid, but now I’m too old for that, can’t stand it if it’s too loud.
