General Question

My fax software is "iffy", i.e., sometimes I'll get a fax, sometimes I get "An error occurred while receiving the fax". What to do?

Asked by Mr_M (7621points) March 5th, 2009

fxservices is running, but, just the same, I stopped it and started it. Still getting the message. I’ll probably have to reboot my computer to get it to work. Meantime, the faxing party already tried four times. What can I do to ascertain I get the fax first time, everytime?

I use Windows XP with the Windows fax application.

Have you checked for software upgrades?

To be honest it doesn’t sound any different to my experiences using an actual fax machine.

I usually scan a document and send as an e-mail attachment.

@AlfredaPrufrock , the software update would be to Windows XP. It’s the Windows Fax application.

What I do is better for me. The docs office will fax my report in to me, and, without making a hardcopy, I can fax it out to my other doctors,

use this key for the program Name: d/tmg S/N: RKS-2427607
Make sure you use that name and number for mightyfax.
