Can you recommend some other quirky, arty, decorating magazines?

Asked by DarlingRhadamanthus (11273points) November 20th, 2009

Hello…

I’ve gotten someone to bring over some magazines from the US. On my list are the Stampington and Company Mags (Artful Blogger, Art Doll Quarterly, Somerset Home, Life, Studios, Where Women Create) and “Mary Jane’s Farm” and “Victoria” Magazine. I used to have a sub to Mary Engelbreit’s “Home Companion” and now have a sub to “Romantic Homes”. (Home Companion, alas, is defunct.)

Any other magazines that are along these lines that I might have missed? I am open to suggestions….?

Thanks so much!

i’m not sure what any of those are but there’s this awesome website www.etsy.com and it’s mostly artists who sell their work but i have found it inspiring in the past!

I’d suggest InStyle, InStyle Home and Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Town & Country. These cover a wide range of styles, articles, interests and ideas.

Also, Better Homes and Gardens is good for home decorating, as is House Beautiful.

I really like ElleDecor, although it may be a little mainstream.

I asked this a long time ago…but if anyone sees this…here are three that are new and available in the UK now:

Mollie Makes
Homemaker
Simple Life

All quirky, “upcycling”...cool magazines. Cheers!
