Facebook problem- Help searching for friends of friends?

Asked by buckyboy28 (4961points) December 8th, 2009

On facebook, it used to be that looking for friends of friends used to be as easy as typing in the friend of your friend’s name while within the pop-up friend menu. Now, for some reason, when I type the name in the pop-up menu, it brings me back to my friend’s page and it doesn’t show me the friends with the name that I typed. I can scroll through their friends, but can’t search.

Does anyone know what is wrong? Is this happening to anyone else, too?

Update: I just tried logging in to Facebook on my roommates Mac, and it works fine when using Safari. I am using Firefox on my computer. Are there known issues with Firefox and Facebook?

It happened to me as well – its simply a glitch or browser error. just list all the friends alphabetically and scroll until you find them – that’s what I did.

It’s a Firefox problem, as you said. It works fine on Safari. That is odd. Usually things work on Firefox and don’t work on Safari.

@Xilas How do I sort them alphabetically?

@buckyboy28 either “browse” or “everyone” in the new friends pop-up – one of the 2 sorts them automatically
