What is a good name for a cockatiel?

Asked by snowyowl_ecs (417points) April 4th, 2010

I’m getting a male cockatiel and I can’t think of anything to call him. Any suggestions?

I thought you misspelled “cocktail.” I apologize for my indiscretion. I would call him “Brigadier General Montgomery Waterchestnut the Third.”

My daughter had one for many years who was called “Psycho” (and with good reason.) He used to go berserk and attack women’s shoes if he found on that wasn’t being worn.

I love cockatiels, they are indigenous here and to see them flying wild in flocks is amazing.

Anyhow, mine was named Wally until he started laying eggs. Actually we still called her Wally but we knew then, it was not quite the most appropriate choice of names.
