No… Expect it on the last day of June. Really, Apple never releases thing early. I would actually bet that iPhone Software Version 2.0.0 will be released late.

And everyone please stop calling it the SDK.. The SDK is already out.. I have a picture of it.

It has been released. An SDK is a software development kit. It is used to create applications. The version of the iPhone software that supports applications created with the SDK will be released in June.

I think ther SDK would probably win the US presidency if it stood for election. I also think that’s more likely than Apple releasing apps for the iphone before the end of June.

The SDK has already been released, like Glial says. There is no real chance that the new version of the iPhone software will be released before June. Adding support for third-party apps is one thing; the other improvements they’re making—adding Exchange support, for example—are pretty extensive. I imagine Apple has a lot of work left to do.

Besides, Apple has their annual developer’s conference in June. Seems like a good place to release version 2.0.
