What did you finally find today when you were looking for something else?

This happens to me so very often. I often find tools and specialized pieces of equipment in unexpected places while I searching for something else.

I have no specific recent examples.

My coworker lost her keys yesterday and found them today – in the freezer.

I’m still looking for the brand new universal remote that never even came out of it’s box before it got lost. I know I saw it a couple of days ago when I going through the grandkids toys, still in the package, but it’s missing, again.

LOL @syz A lady from my church found her keys in the dishwasher as she was getting a spoon. The keyless entry buttons still worked.

I found a pair of glasses in their case under the passenger front seat of car.

Well, last night my aunt found a kitten who had gone missing when she went downstairs to get some laundry. :)

I go through this all the time. But in my case I find several lost items while looking for my current lost item. It really drives me nuts.

I misplaced my thin cotton cord. As a bit of a backstory, my antique spinning machine has been on the fritz a bit and I’ve been mending one part after another part trying to get it up and working. So finally when I fix component A and component B, I realize component C is all wrong, and that’s what I needed the thin cotton cord for. I cleaned out my entire downstairs room searching for it to no avail. It was just in my hand yesterday! I just saw it! So my downstairs room is now nice and clean ish but no cord. Then, when I give up and start cleaning the dining room, I’m looking for the dish soap I just bought, and BAM there is the string. It only showed up once I gave up. Next time I will give up faster!

One time I thought I found religion.

Last week I found my bicycle lock, I had been searching for it ever since we moved, but I couldn’t find the key. Earlier this week I found the key, but now I can’t find the freakin’ lock anymore. I remember my dad saying he spends half his life looking for things, at the time it meant nothing to me, now I know exactly what he meant. He died at 87 and was a brilliant man until the day he died so I’m not too worried about it.

Along with lots of everyday items, I found love when I least expected it.

I was looking for important papers I need for a meeting in a hour and I found baby pictures of my boys….took my breath away!

Today’s goal is to find the missing watch. Maybe I’ll have better luck if I start searching for something else.

About 5 water bottle caps under the front seat of my car after a checkup and my mechanic moved the seat back to fit his body behind the wheel. lol

First thought…wow…look at all those!
Second thought, need to get this car detailed ( other leaves and weirdness under the seat. )
