What is the speed of the DFE-530tx rev. C? (See details)

Asked by haegenschlatt (122points) August 13th, 2010

I just pulled a NIC (network card) out of an old Windows 98 PC and installed it in my newer one. Despite being ancient, it runs at what appears to be a nice speed. It doesn’t show up in any device lists but it works fine.

Can anyone tell me what the speed of the DFE-530tx rev. c is? If not, can anyone point me to a program that will tell me the speed of my network card?

It’s a 10/100 card.

Thank you!

Are you sure it’s the rev. c?

Almost any card made after roughly 1995 is a 10/100 card, haven’t seen any straight 10mbps cards in maybe… 15 years I think. Unless you count the old ISA cards I have in storage bins down here.
Also, DFE530TX series cards are a very, very sought after card due to it’s reliability, stability, and it’s drivers are uniform in almost any OS allowing easy over-network installs of Ghost images. Good card to hold on to. Think I have half a dozen down here from my stint as assistant IT at a high school couple years back.
