I’m not a betting person, but I’m hoping for a week or less, and have just enough cynicism left in my brain to think he’s going to be re-elected in four years, because the electoral college is designed to let the idiots win.

Not so much a pool, more of a golden shower…#watersportsgate #wiki – leaks

Two years, max.

The question is – what will get him?

- illness/death once he learns what it’s like to have a serious job and the pressure gets to him

- business / ethics crimes catching up with him?

- utter incompetence, leading is to war and ruin, so he is impeached?

It could be any of the three.

I predict he’ll never make it through his first term but I won’t conjecture what his undoing will be. Too many possibilities.

See my earlier, wishful-thinking question on this subjject.

@Seek

I reread the 12th and 23rd Constitutional amendments.

Not word one about it’s being designed to “let the idiots win.”

Obama won. He’s certainly not an idiot. IMO he’s the best president in my lifetime.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I say 3 months. That’s how long it will take for the wheels to start turning.

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

He will be there eight years, if the Constitution changes he will be there longer…..

JLeslie's avatar

My guess is he’ll be there 4 years, but I also didn’t think he would win in the end, so what do I know.

I’m hoping (probably against all odds) that he still won’t be sworn in on inauguration day. Maybe the Republicans will come to their senses and realize what most of us already know, that the man is not fit to be President.

Two years. I think the Russian connection is going to get him in the end. That the trashy story from BuzzFeed got so much attention is telling. Trump has a real vulnerability there, and his record of dishonesty makes it impossible to just shrug off the story the way any other politician would be able to do. Expect more such stories. Will any of them be true? It may not make any difference.
