How do I get Windows Media/realplayer to work with Safari?

Asked by colin (574points) May 21st, 2007
I can't get Safari to play either Windows Media or realaudio. I've downloaded both realplayer and the Quicktime components for playing Windows Media. Is there some trick to letting Safari know that they're on my computer? FWIW, it doesn't work with Firefox either.

No... I use Flip4Mac free version (aka the WMV components for quicktime and everything just works... http://tinyurl.com/dtqvg ). I think if it's working in quicktime, it should automatically work in safari and Firefox. Perhaps there's some other problem.
