What kind of sound are you going for? Do want something whimsical, very mellow, exciting?

Well Peedub I’m open for suggestions..just something that might convey the beauty of a new child. I know that sounds kinda corny and lame, but anyway..lol That Creed song “with arms wide open” comes to mind, but I’m not sure.

In that case, stuff I think would work:

Kings of Convenience
This and other songs by Harry Nilsson
Jose Gonzalez

If you like these and want more, let me know.

Be Born by Tally Hall

This Hot Chip song would be really cute.

This might be worth reading.

Lastly, this compilation looks like it would work very well.

You can’t go wrong with Louis Armstrong – What a Wonderful World

I don’t have any suggestions at this time, but I want to congratulate you on the birth of your baby. I have worked in Neonatal Intensive Care Units and it is amazing how resilient these tiny humans are, and how advanced medical science has become. Best wishes for healthy development. :)

I used Little Bird of Heaven for my nephew. It’s pretty touching.

Kenny Loggins has a beautiful childrens album with remakes and originals. The Christopher Robin song is one of my favorites. You can find it on iTunes but sadly it is incomplete, or in Wal-Mart usually. Oh, the name of the cd is Return to Pooh Corner.
