General Question

I heard a long time ago that 79% of Americans have never eaten a taquito.

Asked by Awww (113points) May 25th, 2008 from iPhone

My friend was telling my odd facts of the USA, and this one stuck with me. To believe, or not to believe? Or just, sign if you haven’t had one your entire life.

Why would anyone compile statistics on taquito eating?

It’s a crunchy roll with meat inside.
Or you can get chicken.

Like an eggroll?
I don’t eat meat though…...but it sounds delicious.

I think it may be a regional thing, partial to the Southwestern U.S.

btw Gail, taquitos and tattoos? I don’t see the connection-but I’m on vacation mode so forgive me if I’m not crisp today.

Crispy taquitos sound good though (Flautas especially!) Salud!

Alina,

It’s skinnier and about 2 inches longer.

Dang – sounds really good. I think I have seen those made on food network by that “guy” guy, that won the food network star show.

All you need is a tortilla and meat =P

In a land where salsa has pulled ahead of catsup in the sauce department, I find 79% hard to believe. Taquitos taste as good as they bad for you. Now, you made me hungry for Tex Mex.
