Whenever I try to load a podcast onto iTunes, it tells me that there is an error 5002 and I cannot load it on. How do I fix this?

It looks like it has to do with authorization. You may be able to fix it by changing your "sharing name." Check this link: http://www.kimbach.org/2005/10/27/itunes-5002-error-blues-cured/

Yeah, I tried that, but that is only for macs. How do you change it on a pc? (I have a dell)

I think you go to the control panel, then to Network, and you should be able to change your name there.

To rename your PC goto your Control Panel, Open System, Click on the Computer Name tab, Click Change... This is for XP. Although this is not my 5002 problem. I am trying to Authorize my work PC so I can play my music on it but I am getting a 5002 error, can anyone help out?

I’m experiencing the same problem. Although this does not work for me, some iTunes users found switching back n forth from one click shopping and the shopping cart option fixes the problem. You can do this under edit, preferences, store

Non-Mac (PC) Users: My problem was I could buy one song at a time, but I couldn’t “Buy album”. All of this was while my iPod was connected to my PC. So, I closed out of iTunes, ejected my iPod, went back into iTunes and tried to buy the album again and it worked.
