Is expert required for house cleaning?

Asked by pauladam (15points) February 28th, 2013

Hey friends! I have my own company & to manage waste material is really a annoying task so that since last few days I was thinking to hire a company who can manage my garden, rubbish waste, recycle paper, house cleaning, waste cleaning, etc. Is it really good to hire a company for this task?

If you haven’t got the time or energy or ability to maintain your home or office by yourself, it makes sense to hire someone to do it for you. The issue then becomes whether you can afford that luxury.

If you can afford to, absolutely.

Welcome to Fluther.

You don’t necessarily need to hire “a company” to do housekeeping; that’s a generally low-cost and low tech occupation that, as the sexist saying used to go, “even a housewife could manage”.

But I’m not trying to piss off all the women in Fluther (not again, anyway, and not on account of the antediluvian attitudes that others have had over the ages). Anyone of reasonable intelligence and fitness should be able to carry out the tasks you’ve mentioned. You may have particular requirements regarding such things as the appearance of the garden and exactly how you want house cleaning to be accomplished, but those are still simple enough tasks to manage.

The main thing to watch for in vetting and hiring this person is less “competence” than “reliability” and especially “trustworthiness”. Since this person will be among your private residence, possessions and habits, you don’t want anyone with a criminal attitude – or criminal friends. That’s going to be the hard thing to control for.
