Is twerking hazardous to your health?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33174points) September 13th, 2013

Has anyone addressed the issue of the health effects of twerking?

Is it good or bad for the back? Does it put stress on the lower spine, the hips, or the knees? Is a twerker today a candidate for a hip replacement in 20 years?

Should there be a safety organization created for twerkers (like the Heart Association)? I can see a good slogan:

“Twerkers of the World, Unite!”

Actually I think that it is a good idea. It provides a lot of exercise.

I guess I have been living under a rock. I don’t know what twerking is. I barely know what tweeting is (that is what a bird does, right?)

@Pooh54 (NSFW) Think of “Reverse Cowgirl” an aggressive version but just dancing.

Could be, if you farted on each & every thrust.
It actually looks like you’re trying to lay a fart, danger of follow through.

Yes, because it makes people want to bash you over the head with a frying pan.

Ok, by “people”, I mean “me”.

Other than possibly going up in flames, probably not.

Absolutely. It brings watchers close to vomiting out their intestines.

When you hang that far out you might just catch something… **sharp edges, the clap, a hook etc..**
Maybe nothing

I hate twerking, and I only just heard of it like 3 weeks ago. I don’t even like the word….......

@livelaughlove21 That video has been revealed to be a hoax orchestrated by Jimmy Kimmel and it was revealed on his show.

@Seiryuu Oh, I know. It’s still pretty funny, though.
