Why do manufacturers make scented disposable razors?

Asked by Unbroken (10746points) September 22nd, 2013

Inspired by the colored to question. I admit I don’t buy disposable razors very often. So I have no idea how long they have been on the market.

They do make them now and there are a surprising number of them because after tripping out at smell vaguely reminiscent of my lil pony scratch and sniff line of toys, examining the package and wtfing. I finally tossed the whole thing went back to the store and almost grabbed another pack then took a second look and had to spend the more time then I ever have in that aisle.

Why?????

Simple. They expect the additional sales they get by doing this to be greater than the additional expenses they have of making them scented.

@Unbroken When you’re sleepy in the morning you can find the razor if you drop it without opening your eyes.

Lol. Actually @ragingloli they are cheaper in general.

@Adirondackwannabe lol I love taking showers in the dark. I know where my stuff is and its a gentler wake up ritual. Kind of heightens everything on a tactile sense too.

But I never needed nasty smelling razors before and to be honest it kinda dampens the experience smelling my soap and shampoo as I apply them which makes
everything feel more luxurious.

meant to put this in social

Because people will buy the most non-scentiscal things.
