I love corn on the cob, bbq chicken and potato salad, all with iced tea or lemonade to wash it down.

Home grown tomato with a slice of baby mozzarella, fresh basil, and a balsamic vinegar glaze drizzle. Dinner about once a week in the summer.

Caprese salad (what @syz is talking about), watermelon, fresh corn boiled fast with no butter or salt, the berries, local melons, and local peaches, fresh lemonade, even my well water with ice and some bruised fresh mint.

Heirloom lettuces, tomatoes, and cucumbers, in a summer salad with a light balsamic vinaigrette. Fresh corn on the cob. And grilled meats.

I live in central Florida, and it’s pretty much summer here unless otherwise notified.

When they’re affordable, I like to get watermelons, cantaloupes, and honeydew, slice off the tops, take a melon baller to them, put the balls back in the shell, return the top like a lid, and stick ‘em in the fridge. It’s nice to have a good, cold, wet piece of fruit to nosh on when it’s 90+ degrees outside. On the hottest days I’ll usually go without meat entirely. If I get lucky and the gardener down the road has a surplus, we can have fresh vegetables and hummus or sour cream dip for dinner a few days a week. Who wants to cook when it’s a billion degrees outside?

Watermelon, iced tea, salads, and frozen dessert pops.

(Who wants to cook any more no matter the temperature? I am so done with that.)

My food likes and dislikes don’t change with the seasons. I eat what I like all year long.

I live for bbq in the Summer. even got my own small one, (charcoal) so I can make it whenever I want. Nothing original; hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, things like that.

Nectarines. Frozen raspberries. Cucumbers. Ice cream.

Freak, a food question, and I have no food in my house currently. Shish kabobs, grilled perch, pizza, fries with vinegar, baked potatoes and ice cream.

flip86's avatar

@Paradox25 Fries with vinegar are the best. I use malt vinegar for a better flavor.

Tomatoes, tomatoes and more tomatoes. Cherry tomatoes, Beefsteak tomatoes.

I’ve been known to have tomato sandwiches ( nothing but white bread and mayo will do) for breakfast lunch and supper interspersed with some tomato- gazpacho.
