How do you write a long letter to print out on iMac's Safari?

Asked by Aster (20023points) May 25th, 2016

I have been on computers for 13 years. You’d think by now I’d know how to print out a letter. How do I do it using Safari on iMac?
Thanks in advance.

When you have a tab open in Safari, click on File on the top bar, at the bottom is Print. Click on that, it will open a Print dialog box for you to select print characteristics. When ready, click the box that says Print.

Make sure there is a printer on your network. I’ve had a problem where the printer wasn’t recognized.

Do you mean a actual letter to someone? If so you might just want to go with TextEdit in your applications folder since it will print better and gives more writing tools.

Printing is the same in all OS X applications.

I know how to print pictures and pages. What I don’t know is how do you retrieve a blank page on which to begin typing?

Use a word processing app, or from Safari, go to google and search for google docs, it will give you a blank page to begin typing.

@zenvelo thank you very much! I went there and got this: “This version of Safari is no longer supported. Please upgrade to a supported browser.” There is so much to learn on this iMac and I don’t think I’ll ever learn half of it.
